Just for the sake of it, I'll post the über-x:ed part of the text:

agent for the preservation of
organs of transport - were also
discovered along with ???
lost of an as yet-unindentified
chemical marked "expermental."
The hospital - when has ties to
The Hanso Foundation - denies
any accusations of illegal
experimentation and organ har-(vest?)
Hanso is starting wars the developing
a world but for the bodies of the victims.
the nightmare is worse than any of the
charges.

Did you just get on? I ask because it's not accepting the "heavy water" password from me. At any rate, where you have the "???," is it really three question marks are you saying you can't make it out. From the legible article as I recall it, I believe the words that go there are "an unknown chemical."

Is that word for word? Since... I love correcting newspapers, so I'm going to correct their grammar (if it's your mistake, my bad and I apologise, but perhaps there's something to the missing/mispelt words).

Becomes...

..agents for the preservation of
organs in transport were also
discovered along with ???
a lot(?) of an as yet-unindentified
chemical marked "expermental."
The hospital - which has ties to
The Hanso Foundation - denies
any accusations of illegal
experimentation and organ harvesting.
Hanso is starting wars in the developing
world; but for the bodies of the victims.

charges.

Obes.

This is what it looks like to me:

I think that it depends on what your monitor resolution is as to what words are whited out.

Namaste.

I did a search and couldn't find this mentioned anywhere, so I'm going to fill you guys in. Over at the TLEC blog, a person named j7chico discovered that D2O ("heavy water") can be used for storing organs.

From http://www.isb.vt.edu/brarg/brasym96/kushner96.htm:
"Protective and therapeutic uses (of Heavy Water) Partly because of its intrinsic structure (Katz, 1965), D2O increases the stability of organic molecules, macromolecules, viruses and vaccines. This can have important practical effects when vaccines and other heat-sensitive therapeutic substances must be distributed in developing countries, many of whose districts may lack electricity and refrigeration. A number of patents exist for biostabilizing ability of heavy water. These describe increased thermal and microbial stability and slower disaggregation of certain macromolecules (e.g., Crainic and Simpson, 1994). The presence of 95% D2O was found equivalent to a 4-5C reduction in storage temperature relative to H2O, for macromolecular pharmaceuticals such as vaccines; as little as 7-25% D2O helps prevent protein denaturation. D2O medium has been recommended for storing organs, tissues, tissue parts, proteins or enzymes, sera and blood preparations and for the perfusion of organs intended for transplants (Wenzel, 1974), microorganisms and enzymes (Hamaya and Horikoshi, 1989), and hydrolysable compositions such as alpha-hydroxy-carboxylic acids (especially benactyzine) (Teva Pharm. Ind. Ltd. 1989)."

If you'll notice, the newspaper refers to something called "Vialex." No doubt either it or the "experimental chemical" contains heavy water.

I'm able to get back on now, and that whited out part of the window below the hospital sign is back as well. For some reason it just wasn't working for a while there.

Certainly they use "heavy water" when transporting organs. But how might this be a clue? For that matter, how easily accessible is heavy water to get? Is it something made or purchased?

Thanks. So obtaining "heavy water" is really not that easy and is typically limited to plants making it specifically for nuclear reactors. It did however mention that India is one of the leading producers of heavy water as a product, so perhaps that explains the subtle hints involving that country.

I was just finally able to get to this clue... and when I played the recorder, I had a completely different message. In this one, they talk about people and how THEY are the sharks, and the woman in the message says "you can call me Persephone".

I didn't find that listed anywhere in the rest of this thread, so thought I'd see if anyone else noticed it...

I believe Algeria was invovled in a scandal in the early 1990s where they found heavy water production plants and nuclear reactors.

Now where I have heard about Algeria before?

That sounds like the same message I've been getting all along. It's nothing new.
