 		It appears that the message board it brings you to are the Verizon employees that created the "yellow lab" site as some sort of fake site. One of the cities mentioned is translated saying something like "this is so fake," and then on the board you get this converstation to start one thread...

I don't think there's anything to most of the sites mentioned as they're merely office employees snooping around on Google like us. Worth noting is that DSL recognized Mittelwerk from his bio picture, so that picture must really be him. The one site that may be something is the http://www.richerdeeperbroader.com/ site that iobi brings up in the latest thread, but it appears to be just a Verizon ad.

Isn't that the point of an ARG? They're using real-world things into their game to make it seem as if it's actually existing.


I actually think it's kinda cool. For the first time they are personalizing people that are characters in the game. At least now we know that there are other people trying to solve the mystery too (even if they are in-game characters.) I sense that we'll be able to contact these folks later on in the game, have them give us more info than P has been able to so far.

They coulda called it something else other than Verizon, but does it really matter? The advertising isn't a big deal...you see ads everywhere these days, if the PM's can use the extra money to provide a 'richer, deeper' experience (pun intended) then I'm for it.

Dont you guys think there is something odd with this picture?... I might just be me or does that look like two different faces (or parts of face) jumbled up together....certainly doesnt look right.

What is "FiOS"?

FiOS is Verizon's new updated Fiber Optic
online service. It is only available in limited areas, until the lines are updated in your area for Fiber Optic High Speeds.

 		I looked through some of the Verizon pages. The one that intrieged me the most was this link: http://www.richerdeeperbroader.com. Not only because he linked it, but because it used a similar html/flash system that the ARG pages do.

Just a guess, but I am thinking that the 1903 reference to Lord Dilfer of Trent is a sly reference to NFL QB Trent Dilfer. Especially since Trent Dilfer is religious and frequently mentions his relationship with the Lord. The name is so much like the "Earl of Preston" and "Duke of Ted." Another hint at the fakeness of the yellow dog site perhaps?

Anyway, it made me laugh.

As for the doctored face, maybe these employees used an altered pic of a supervisor to further amuse themselves. I could see Peter Gibbons/Michael Bolton types doing that to their personal Lumbergh.

I thin, by that, it means that the "Supported by The Hanso Foundation" log at the top morphs into "Subjugated by The Hanso Foundation" when you enter Porter as the password to get to the forums.

I thought it just meant the switch from "supported by Hanso" to "subjugated by Hanso" when you switch from the dog page to the message board page. And more obviously, from the yellow dog logo to the red phone logo.

EDIT: simultaneous with Jamesi. But I did point out the dog/phone so it wasn't totally useless, haha.

Indeed, that's what I thought. It doesn't look like anything else morphs to me.

 		So, if a Yellow Dog is not a Yellow Dog, then what is it?

I don't think all the information on the site if fake. In particular I am thinking about the hidden date entry on the time line. It seems a little to real to be fake.

Also I thought they were talking abouto the log on THF because later they refer to the whole ying/yang thing.

She has computer knowledge (that's what she does) and had prior knowledge of the Hanso hack. Any more links/tie ins?

I agree that the connections are there, but is she "an employee of the Foundation?" as per the MFI map? DSLerator seems more like an employee of Verizon(tm).
