[TRAILHEAD?] Persus Demeter

I was looking through the history of the ARG entry at wikipedia and saw that someone has added in a 'Relevant Site' for a game that, apparently, launched in 2005. I searched high and low but saw no mention of this game at http://www.persusdemeter.co.nr/ but I visited and things look a bit fishy -- not enough for me to surf through and figure out, however. I leave this in your capable hands.

Launching a game through wikipedia? Dangerous!

Well, just a little fun fact..

Perseus and Demeter are both from Greek mythos, Perseus being the one who killed Medusa and Demeter a god of Agriculture.

EDIT: I looked around, and I couldn't find any leads or paths of any sort.

Hmm. Maybe we just need to wait a little? I'll be monitoring.

I looked around a number of the linked pages and found some problems with and a number of spelling errors that jumped out at me. Especially on the fake news story page that was linked through the fake "mirrored" yahoo news on the main page.

Reuters would not misspell the words thief, cocaine (twice no less), museum. It makes me wonder if Mr. Backster's name is misspelled and should be Johnathon Baxter. Nor would they make some of the grammar errors present:

Quote:

"He was found by his friend, Johnathin Backster." Say the FBI.

Quote:
The very night of his murder...

that should read 'Says the FBI.' and 'The night of his murder' (someone speaking may say it, but I can't see the additional use of space in the written story. If you are going to put something out as coming from a real world entity, at least have the decency to run the news story through the spell & grammar checker once or twice. It would make it much easier for me to believe that Raspberry Censored

Proof read people! There is a whole PM recruitment thread of people willing to do proofreading duties! Use it!

Flaming Nutter
Plus how silly do they expect us to believe Law Enforcement is to say Mr. Demeter died of a cocaine overdose and the person who stole his pictures just happened to have a stash of cocaine? Please, even Law Enforcement Agencies have a few good people. Rolling Eyes

Edited to fix my own spelling and grammar mistakes and spacing.

I'm sure this is a new puppetmaster, probably his first work.

He's doing pretty well, for a first time.

I wonder if there's some sort of code for the &#^@*'s?
