First of all, I would love to chat with you guys, but my computer will absolutely not allow it. I also figured out the phone pad concept, but thought maybe I was off track. Here's a thought though......

The phone ansewering machine will only accept a three digit extension. There are no ones on the disks and the one on a phone pad has no letters. The directions to the game also mention answering in prime number order, of which the number one is technically not a prime number.... SO Perhaps the first circle is X for extension.....which is both a letter and a number. And perhaps ones in the clues are to be skipped?

ANOTHER idea. What if the four letters are Roman Numerals that equal a three digit arabic number to use as the extension. Please, let me know what you think.

OK, so I got a hint on the discs, but I still need help to interpret them.

From teh clue, ABOST=12345, so A=1, B=2, O=3, S=4, T=5, looking at the discs, east lettered disc has two letters of ABOST, for example IBCVTN, we have to pair the numbered disc that fits this one, so we need a numbered disc with ?2??5?, which there happens to be a 127453, thats 1 pair, so you need to pair up the other 4 just like that one. I was also told that with that pairing, A=1 and also I=1 from the 1st pairing. When all discs are matched we use this to solve the 9*..... code on the clue 2 page. This is where i don't get it or understand. I believe i paired all the discs, but don't know how to use it to decode the numbers on clue 2.

Thats where I am at, where are all of you at?

Wow, it's been a crazy week. I was in chat at one point, and we were discussing this, and I promised to follow up with a post here, but my free time was sucked into a vortex.

So here I am, and I am composing a reply. Check back shortly, as I am trying to make this into a pretty chart...

You could play around with all possible combinations of discs and rings, but in the end only one method of pairings will give you the above assignments all at once:
Code:
052431 = SLAGRYSL -------------------> SLAGRYSL
634512 = SLAGRYSL, BHUZMABHUZM ------> ABHUZMA
935124 = OTQXFKO, ABHUZMA -----------> OTQXFKO
854213 = SLAGRYSL, ODWSPJODW --------> ODWSPJODW
745312 = BHUZMABHUZM, TNIBCVTNI -----> TNIBCVTNI

or, if you don't like deciphering my notes, here's how the pairs line up:
Code:
SLAGRYSLAGRYSLAGRY
052431052431052431

ABHUZMABHUZMABHUZM
634512634512634512

OTQXFKOTQXFKOTQXFK
935124935124935124

ODWSPJODWSPJODWSPJ
854213854213854213

TNIBCVTNIBCVTNIBCV
745312745312745312

Using this information, we can treat these numbers the way you do a "phone code", where each number can represent more than one letter. In this case, five numbers are unique and match only 1 letter, but other numbers appear on multiple wheels, so they could encipher any letter from their set:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1 = AIJQ
2 = BPXY
3 = LNOU
4 = FSVZ
5 = MRTW
6 = H
7 = C
8 = D
9 = K
0 = G

Now, how do we decipher the mystery string: 9*131344*53 5*131344*4*3 4*131344335 ?

I put the string across, then beneath it I wrote the possible letters from the "ring code" (heh, like phone code, only the phone is ringing, get it? Discs, rings? I slay me.)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
9*131344*53 - 5*131344*4*3 - 4*131344335

KEALALSSEMN - MEALALSSESEL - SEALALSSNOM
..INIOFF.RO - R.INIOFF.F.O - F.INIOFFOUR
..JOJNVV.TU - T.JOJNVV.V.U - V.JOJNVVULT
..QUQUZZ.WL - W.QUQUZZ.Z.N - Z.QUQUZZLNW

(That looks so much better in monospaced font, but I wanted it to be hidden and not formatted.) And what have i come up with so far? Not a complete answer, but some intriguing snippets in there:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ke?????zero - real???seven - sequ???four

I'm not personally interested in getting onto their reality TV show, not at all; I'm working thru the puzzles just for the challenge. And if the step after the blueprint involved phoning a toll-free (in the USA) telephone number, keying an extension number, and speaking to a live human, I'm not up for that. If there is another puzzle after that step, feel free to feed it to me and I will see if I can help you.

(returning later to add):
oh, spit in a bucket. grrr. I see it now.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Kequalszero - ?equalsseven - ?equalsfour

It's just the step that explains how we SHOULD have solved that page instead of how we did it earlier in this thread

... you have missed the scheduled interviews (unless future in-person locations have been added to the website), but you could still apply by mail. Follow the instructions on the site, fill out an application, and borrow a video camera which will allow you to store your audition onto VHS tape, and mail it all in.

Or, you could still try to solve the final puzzle. I have heard that the deadline for the "Crack the Code" trail has been extended (probably because no one has solved it yet).

The show will probably not be broadcast on a major network, if on television at all. The website only makes reference to another "reality gaming" website where it may be webcast, or perhaps sold into syndication.

What is so important about "H"

I'm also new to this quest and am fond of things of the like. I happened to see an open call audition on Craig's list today but it seems like I am way behind the line. I've been looking at your work and would just like to say wow. You guys are impressive.

The reason I am posting is because one thing struck me as odd and I don't know if it has to do with anything. On the SABOTAGE website in the header the letter "H" jumps out at me. It is directly in the center of the "O" and is definitely a real letter. I let it go after that until I got to the posting where someone had a link to the Newport picture. When I opened that and saw the word NEWPORT the register trademark symbol seemed a little odd. Upon zooming in, I think you'll find that instead of it being an "r" like normal registered trademarks, it is an "H". Am I crazy, throwing more fuel into the fire, or just completely off the mark?

The last clue

Can anyone else figure out the code inthe last clue? I am only able to figure out the lines in Key 13:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the first 13 is Prin the following code n and the 2nd 13 is st be accopanied by separ I am assuming that the code all runs together but using the same code with the other lines they make no since Also I have not figured out the signifigance of the key numbers...I konw their translation but not what they are used for...or the boxes with the letters the keys transform into...

Has anyone else ran into this or is it just something I am/ am not doing? this one got me stumped!!

The significance of the Key numbers goes back to the keyboard numbers. Even without knowing what they mean, you've gotten the first row to decode plainly. Now shift the code wheels by one notch; the next line will decode plainly if you shift in the correct direction.
