I tried emailing Kurt with the Acadamy number, but he had an auto reply which said to email Tippy, who had her same auto. So I'm deadlocked...... What should we do?

E-mail Caine?

EDIT: Have done so.

In at 2225. Double-checked Floors A-F for 16/1/267 - as above - and got one new one:

Personally, I'd look at and around major dates before V quit: Holyoke's murder (24th April 268), Pietro's coma (20th June 268), Monica's murder (16th September 268).

My next login was at 22:22. The cycle appears to be every 42-43 minutes so my next predicted window will be around 23:04.

I could find anything around the dates of the murders. I didn't check Pietro's coma. One thing I did notice was that when checking the murder dates the system was trying to check todays Earth date ie 13 June 2006. Has anyone else experienced this?

Other call logs I did establish were:

I emailed Kurt and violet in the same to: field. Remember this is Violet's idea, effectively. But just in case it's a phone number Violet knows all too well, thought it was worth keeping Kurt in the loop.

Wanna bet the phone number is Sente's office?

My timing was a little off - the next window happened at 23:10. I've attached an excel file of all the calls from 6th to 18th Jan. There are only 5 calls to the Academy 08 prefix numbers. Each a different number called from a different station.

083970264908 08/01/267 08:51:44 (Station B33)
081902334113 11/01/267 04:00:44 (Station F20)
082237758207 12/01/267 18:40:32 (Station B99)
082021312332 16/01/267 13:45:40 (Station D37)
083403098588 18/01/267 16:24:17 (Station E36)

It's late so I'm going to bed. I would suggest looking for more call logs from 5th Jan backwards. Assuming V/Cyrus was in league with an Academy insider they must have talked more than this.

[edit: removed outdated file]

Just a query - and please correct me if I'm wrong - but didn't Alejo say he pressed redial and someone at the acadamy answered? Therefore shouldn't there be 2 calls to the same number from the same phone with no other numbers dialled in between them?

He might not have connected -- he might have just noticed it was redialing an 08 number (my own phone prints the numbers as they are dialing) and hung up.

Just to add to this:

a.) the quote says he redialed but that doesn't necessarily mean there was an answer.

b.) some phones (and this is Earth, one presumes Perplexians have fancier phones) also give a caller ID on redial, so Alejo didn't necessarily need to know about the 08 prefix. He could just have seen 'Academy' on the display, and since he wasn't meaning to call them, hung up.

I do realize I'm rationalizing here, but we gotta work with what we have, right?

Sorry, batgirl (and others): I missed the minute that I gained access. I thought it would be time stamped, and when my frantic minute was up, I forgot to make note of the time. Oops!

Not necessarily. They may have had a policy of not calling each other at work. Perhaps one of them broke protocol that day due to the extreme circumstances.

can someone (I'm looking at you BriEnigma) write some code to ping the website every minute and then grab the files if it's not locked?

That should work shouldn't it? I'll have a go myself, but I don't really understand this php melarky myself, I'm more a VB kinda guy Razz

Scott points out on the wiki that there are 6 floors depicted but 7 floors in the Hesh Employee Listing. This suggests to me that Management (Helix and friends) isn't included (unless typing in manually via the URL method gets something).

Heh. I actually started throwing code at the screen to do this last night. I haven't coded in several months, though, so I'm rusty and didn't finish. Also, I was a bit concerned that a script hitting the site would be noticable, and they'd patch the leak.

I'll probably work on it again some more when I get home from work (in about nine hours from now), though I'm sure there's others around who could program it faster than I can.

I've removed the Excel file from my post above and replaced it with a text file in .csv format (I'm not allowed to upload .csv files) which everyone should be able to open.

Each number dialled has been individual - 1006 calls in January all to different numbers?! This raises a couple of questions:
1: are PC 'phone numbers structured the same as here?
2: what exactly are we looking for? If it is a pattern of calls to the same number this isn't happening (to date) and we may need to rethink. I would expect calls to be made to the same people a few times a month (bands, agents, suppliers etc).

The following are the 08 numbers to date.

080371791556 01/01/267 12:09:48 (Station C02)
084181667472 01/01/267 21:41:25 (Station F90)
083970264908 08/01/267 08:51:44 (Station B33)
081902334113 11/01/267 04:00:44 (Station F20)
082237758207 12/01/267 18:40:32 (Station B99)
082021312332 16/01/267 13:45:40 (Station D37)
083403098588 18/01/267 16:24:17 (Station E36)
083819387982 21/01/267 20:30:44 (Station B32)
088503676526 03/02/267 05:46:50 (Station B41)

The attached file runs from 1/1 to 4/2. Perhaps someone can see a pattern I can't.

[edit] updated the missing info.
