 		[viral/arg??] atinum weird
i was watching vh1 a few mins ago and they were talking about platinum weird "the greatest band nobdies ever heard of". i did a little googling, and the 'bands' story starts back in the 70's and involves the mysterious dissapearence of the lead singer (possible plot). apparently theres going to be a show on vh1 starting in september. its got an argy feel to it. (pardon the crappy typing, its raining and my wireless keyboard is being dumb).

 		Yeah, I'm with ya, dontpanic. I remember a good portion of the seventies, and I've never heard of them.

Of course, if they're "the greatest band nobody's ever heard of" (wasn't it Jagger who said that on the ET clip at YouTube?), then that would stand to reason, wouldn't it? Rolling Eyes

Be sure to check the whole Wikipedia article for more info... I was very impressed by the number of sites they created for this, and especially this one with a retro BBS text feel.

The quality (in terms of realism) of the content is very good, with different registrations and hosting, it's very believable. But I haven't found anything that indicates there is any kind of interaction or "game" to be played. So far it just looks like a viral and I doubt it'll turn into anything else, since it's been around for several months now with no development.

ETA: Maybe there will be something to follow when the show starts in September? Couldn't find any info on VH1 about the show.
