Request for Simpleton Summaries

Hi.

Not a hardcore ARGer here, but I do love a well-done ARG when my schedule permits it.

I first played on The Haunted Apiary and had a ball, but was most recently let down by The Lost Experience.

I'm checking over the "now playing" list now, and at first glance, don't think I can be bothered with someone's laundry, emo band or lost diary.

I realize, that I may be completely wrong, but I don't have the several hours needed to devote to finding out whether I want to give months away to a particular ARG. I loved the show LOST, and gave the game lots of hours only to be sadly saddened.

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be too sacreligious to host a meta summary list from those of you in the know of what the current "now playing" games are, who' "sponsoring" them (you're not tearing the curtain down if you post what's already a well-known fact by those playing), a short summary of level of involvement, and if even possible, a glimpse of how much fun is going on. All of this from the meta perspective, please!

Basically, it'd be nice for the casual ARGer to pop in, get a good feel for what's going on, and be able to choose something to their liking and join in.

Think of it as the yellow pages to the ARGs.
Right now there's a very nice sort-of directory to trail-heads and subforums, but just trying to get a feel there takes a considerable amount of dedication... to the uninitiated, they're quite daunting.

So whadaya say? Will you make Simpleton Summaries?

A couple of the "now playing" games have "Story So Far" threads that you can read through (without clicking links) to get the jist of the story.

However, what you are asking about may be met with a visit to ARGN.com

That's a great site for "what is playing now" and updated gaming info. Pretty much weekly podcasts are fun to listen to (start with the most recent).
