[SITE] www.rachelblake.com (June 19)

The source code at www.thehansofoundation.org just got updated: where is used to say djdan.am, it now links to:

http://www.rachelblake.com

The site is now live, but currently only contains the text "No access". Nothing in the source

you don't see content? I see a blog entry:

Copenhagen, Denmark

Finally!

Hi everyone, welcome to my European travel blog. I'm Rachel Blake, I'm 24, and yes, this trip is coming two years late. I feel like I'm in the minority amongst my friends, who all seemed to find a way to spend six months after graduation backpacking through Europe. Silly me, I sold out and got a real-life job with an evil megalithic corporation.

Well, that job has ended, and now I'm here. But, no youth hostels or hitchhiking for me, thanks. I actually made some money at that job I mentioned, and I'm going to spend just a little bit of it…

However, one thing I haven't done is plan anything. I'm starting in Copenhagen, and from there, I'm just gonna play it by ear. Who wants to have a stressful vacation?

So, why Copenhagen? Why Denmark? Maybe I've read Hamlet one too many times. Or maybe, just maybe I wanted to begin in the seat of Europe's oldest monarchy. The place was founded in 1167!

While I'm here, I hope to a) become a better interior designer by osmosis, b) see Rosenborg Castle, the Round Tower, Tivoli Gardens, the Little Mermaid – yep, she's here!, c) shop the Stroget, d) eat a Danish hotdog (they're famous!), and e) RELAX by the beautiful lakes. Ah.

Plenty of pretty pictures too.

(What time zone is Copenhagen, and when was 1:00pm their time?)

EDIT: Damn, trouted twice in the last two minutes. Well, time to dig.

"Evil megalithic corporation" - she has a job with Hanso or Widmore?

Check this out:

You can barely see the image in the normal background, but I found pulling up the image from source helpful. So, the question is, is this decoration or something of importance?

Would that not be Alvar Hanso's Tour de Monde from THF?

The box under Extra Info appears to be Flash code called checkpw.swf
It waits for you to enter 3 or more characters.

This could be the entrance to Rachel's REAL blog.

That's what I thought, too. Anyone got a picture to match it up with?

OK, to get the password, go to persephone.thehansofoundation.org

The audio, when reversed, gives you:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
101 118 105 100 101 110 116 32 97 103 101 110 100 97

which ascii to text'd gives you:

evident agenda

It works.

Subdomain is stophanso.rachelblake.com

Anyone else notice that the heading is EXACTLY THE SAME as Persephone's latest?

The site seems to be rather swamped with viewers at the moment, so I'll tell you what I saw:

It's pretty basic at the moment, still looks like a blog. Has a heading with pictures of several Hanso chairmen looking rather evil, and the words "So their tomorrow never comes" in caps. Also has a link to the video that was leaked a few days ago.

I'll try to get back in to get more details...

Does the site keep reloading for everyone? It's like it's stuck in a loop, I can't get the video (OMG A VIDEO THIS IS NEW~?~?~?!!@!!@), nor can I get any links to work, since it's doing nothing but reloading in my Firefox.

You have to look at it in IE, I tried using Firefox and it doesn't work for me either.

The constant reloading thing seems to be related to the annoying blinking background effect they have in place.

EDIT: They fixed the blinking within the first few minutes of the new site's being found.

What's the deal with entering your birthdate? It's not like there was any "mature" content in this video. Perhaps it's a puzzle... Either that, or they plan on including sex, violence and foul language in the next few transmissions...

Anyway, did anyone see any differences from this video and the Monster.com one, or is this effectively the PMs trouting themselves?

Oh, I hope so. That Rachel's kinda cute. Razz

Grr. They didn't seem to like my comment in her blog, even though it was pretty harmless. Speaker must be censoring. Embarassed
