Random numbers Hmmm, I noticed the numbers also. I also noticed on St. Helena on the LEFT cliff face to the ladder's left, it looks as if there is a number 55. It is not scratched as clearly as the 7 hash marks, but it is there. I wonder if we should be making notes of these numbers as we go along? Has anyone been doing that? I wrote down the few that I have seen...

Random numbers Its hard to say if they mean anything... part of the problem is deciding what qualifies as a number. I don't see the 5 on Pulau Jong, but I swear there is a 33 to the right of the cave entrance.
Inside the cave if you scroll all the way to the left there is a clear mark that looks like a Kanji symbol, but I have no idea what it means.

Hidden Numbers!!! Relating to the random numbers found on each of the locations of which some r hidden and some r clearly visable! In my opinion I think they mean something!
I have not been keeping track of the numbers that have been appearing but I remember quite a few such as-
The ...5 on the broken plate found on the beach!
7 on Saint Helena in the form of tally marking!
7 found on one of the fallen tress on Saint Mary!
I think I am going to start again form the start and go through all of the locations and c what I can find!
Ne 1 out want to give me a hand n do the same thing and c what we come up with and actually c if it makes ne sence!

Solution I've solved this:
Round and Round the pagans dance,
rotate west to find your chance.
Pretty easy really... the big question is, how did you find that riddle? I searched the files in my IE cache and didn't see it there. Will someone share the technique?

Sorry man I think that riddle was made up if u read the first page!
But if u really what to find out how to get the riddle in advance u need a flash decompiler which can be donwloaded for free! Only problem is that u need to know a fair bit about flash to understand where to find it!

volvo hunt totaly agree about there being number/signs that will need to be used at some point,
i think that we will have to prove in some way that we have been to all the places and done all the clues, because anyone can get to the latest bit by inputing the site address, ect.
Or..the place the car is buried will have something to do with all the numbers we have so far, ect,Anyway just kicking some ideas about,,.

None of the riddles are in the flash, they're in the XML loaded per region. Up to this point, the puzzle flash files have been exactly the same for each region, only the XML that is loaded separately contains the language-specific text.
This is being discussed on the "Games' Rules" thread - http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15454

No harm! But I think ur wrong! If ya don't believe me then just check throught the source code and u will find it it calls a swf file from a location within the Volvo site!

false? Are you sure that clue is false? The person who said they made it up is different from the person that posted it. Besides, it works so well:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
put the key handle around the Witch circle and rotate it to the West

Rabes - I've been noticing numbers too... didn't catch the 7 in St. Helena but I found a distinct 5 on the Island of Pulao Jong before you entered the cave... and some numbers in the sand as early as Burmuda...
It is an intruiging notion that these might be clues for later reference. I just thought they were just red herrings to throw us off.
Anyone have any opinions on this?
I have found a total of 6 "extras" so far, although there may be another one hidden in the star field (I only finished enough of it to get the coords.)
The "extras" consist of four numbers, one Letter, and one Kanji

Technically, yes, but come on... you know that the images embeded in the SWFs could potentially provide an advantage too... for instance, it's an advantage to know that I need to look around for two ceramic vases... or that I may need to know constellations... or that as soon as the puzzle starts I have to dig holes. The time it takes to play with the Flash interface and figure out what you need to do... well... that bit of time could easily mean the difference between coming in among the top three solvers (timewise), or not.
I could be wrong, but I think it's a moot point now anyway... I think the game designers have altered their file naming conventions so that cheat... er... players can't guess the file name of the next riddle and download it manually before it's supposed to be available. I'm sure, however, there are several players out there who can't stand that and are currently searching for a new way to get an unfair advantage. Sad. Especially considering those players are probably 14, used a map code they found on a forum, don't have a passport, or even a drivers license yet
