Just checked the capture I took of the LYCGY map the day the site went live, here, and there is no WTK there. But interestingly enough, no persephone either. They must have added that at a later date. Or else I am going blind.
And danteIL, where did you get the name "William T. Kilpatrick"? If it is on the youtube vid I apologize, the site is down for maintenence now so I can't check.

Two bits of info:

1) In the IM convo, "OpenersHep" refers to "wtkFleet35" as William.

2) The Daimler memo within pthomspo's mail directory (here) that cancels Hanso Jeep fleet contract is signed by William T. Kilpatrick.

Ah, thank you. I must be out of my mind today do to the poor performances of both the US soccer team and also my beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.

I've given this a great deal of thought, and I have come to the conclusion that Rachel Blake is not Persephone. Allow me to elaborate.

First of all, Persephone already showed us that Hugh McIntyre was messing around with a woman. She also made it clear why this was important -- it was in direct contradiction to his profile on the THF website.

By the time Rachel Blake gets around to showing us that Hugh is cheating on his wife, it's old hat. "Rachel: We already knew that weeks ago; haven't you been paying attention to Persephone's hacks?"

But then she tells us that the woman Hugh McIntyre is messing around with is an employee of the Global Welfare Consortium -- as if this is significant. Again, Rachel, why haven't you been paying attention to Persephone's hacks if you're such a big fan?

If Rachel Blake had watched and photographed and talked about Peter Thompson at the GWC, I would have been more impressed. Why, you ask? Because Peter Thompson IS ACTUALLY IN CONTROL OF THE GWC.

http://lostpedia.com/images/9/98/Reply.jpg

Persephone would have known that Peter Thompson is the Acting Director-General at GWC, and she would not have wasted her time telling us something we already knew about Hugh, who doesn't even have power at GWC (as far as we know).

In short:
The REAL Persephone would have tracked down Peter Thompson instead of wasting her time telling us about Hugh.

Clearly, Persephone is much more intelligent than Rachel Blake.

If Rachel Blake does indeed turn out to be Persephone, a very angry Matt the Pale will have a few choice words to describe the quality of writing that he's seen by that time.

I think you might be onto something. In fact, I'm wondering if Rachel B is a plant by THF meant to draw our attention away from their actual business. Such an attractive young girl. Why, we just have to believe her.

Consider this, THF obviously has vast resources and very intelligent agents. When we went to www.hansocareers.com we noticed that most of the positions recquired fluency in many languages. Their organ carrier needs to know martial arts. Now consider the requirements they have for their security agents. Rachel B. is already rather exposed, and I'm sure Hanso employees themselves are well aware of our actions looking into them. They watch the show, and I wouldn't be surprised if Hanso execs, as in the ARG characters themselves, are actually reading this board and tracking the clues that we have in order to counter all efforts to expose them. Considering all of this, if Rachel B was really Persephone, and knowing that THF considers Persephone a criminal that must be dealt with, then why haven't they tracked her down and stopped her? I just don't think the real Persephone would expose herself like Rachel Blake has.

Also, the inconsistencies with respect to the dates in the log suggest that something is amiss. I suspect that the entire log has been altered primarily to change the time when the log took place. But I also suspect that one time entry was overlooked and reveals an actual time. That would be the closing time of the third session. According to the log, the third session closed on March 3rd, at 1:34 am. Now my thought here is that this time is correct, but that this is the only time that's correct. Now consider how ignoring this time the rest of the log makes sense except where errors are made when editing such as overlooking a leading zero here and there. Now if the third log really did close on March 3rd at 1:34 AM, then there's no way the second log could have begun on March 3rd at 1:08 PM. I also agree that the first session is most peculiar with not only the missing zeros, but also the length of time and with the days of the week not matching up with the number of the month. Instead of taking 5 days (from "Mon Mar 1 21:34:42 2006" to "Mon Mar 6 21:40:42 2006"), it more likely only took 6 minutes.

Moreover, it's not hard to come up with that username. Afterall, that's the same username that Persephone uses when you log into the LYCGY site. And, why should wtkFleet35 be concerned about Jeep shipments to Hanso when he's the one that cancelled the order to them. That said, we still haven't figured out why the order was initially cancelled. Maybe this doc has something to do with it, and has been seriously altered down to the years and names mentioned. Did Chrysler actually cancel the order back then because they discovered Hanso planned to use the Jeeps to transport illegally-obtained organs from South Africa.

Finally consider how Persephone's clues typically revealed all sorts of stuff. Each one exposed major stuff on Hanso execs. But was has any of Rachel B's clues really exposed. We know that there's a Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen, but what else? Is that Mangus Hanso voyage on the Black Rock really going to expose something about THF? What has she given us that we don't already know?

Lotsa numbers in those times and dates.

And by numbers I mean

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42.

Perhaps lose those numbers, and translate the remainder? Or even just use all of them and some sort of cypher?

Close, but there's no 16.

If they did so, that what be a pretty severe violation of "peeking behind the curtain". I would safely assume this board is out of game for the characters.

Quoting myself:

actually my first thought was that the missing_organs.zip file must be the same microfiche documents that we've already seen that talked about the organ harvesting at the hospitals in Africa. This may or may not be the case, however.

Nope, because the date of the newspaper article in the microfiche (found on Lostpedia here) reads Friday 26th, May 2006. That's over two months after this supposed conversation.

Of course, who knows if we should really believe the crazy dates on this IM log...

I think one problem is everybody is assuming this was a conversation that took place on AIM, but it's not what an AIM conversation looks like. The "session start" and "session end" are not something included in AIM not to mention aim saves conversations as a .htm file and the timestamp appears after the name not before.

When I first saw the file I actually thought it was a conversation held over the computer system used on the lycgy site.

I guess that that they're using yahoo it could be yahoo messenger or something, maybe someone familiar with that program could tell if it's from that program.

Oh and as far as Peter Thompson running the GWC I have a feeling he did but he left and now works for Hanso. Theres no way he could work for both companies at the same time. Notice how old that letter is with his name on it.

Looking at it, it looks like an IRC chat.

Now, IRC clients often have private, 1 on 1 PM systems, I know that mIRC does. I don't know about bocking via IRC, but it might be possible, and he could've been bluffing.

It MIGHT be YIM, I don't usually use YIM, but from the experience I've had with it, it's a possibility.

It's not MSN.

It still could be AIM, albeit, not the standard AIM client off of AIM.com. If it were AIM, it seems like it would be a third party AIM client, like Trillian, or gAIM.

Of course, if it were Trillian, it could be AIM, MSN, YIM, or ICQ. I think Trillian has an IRC client, too, don't quote me on that,

Speaking of ICQ, I've never used it, so I don't know about it.

Hmm.....it seems most like IRC, though. I know for a fact you can do file transfers through mIRC, so it's possible.

If so, the question is, how did Rachel get WTK's IRC name? Well, this screams of them being in the same room at the same time.

So, of course, if we can find the server adress and the room name, we could get info.

September 25, 2005? Old? And why can't he work for both at the same time?
