I'm running on WinXP Pro (1 laptop, 2 PCs), WinXP Home (1 PC), Win2k (1 Server), Win2003 (2 Servers) and Mac OSX (1 Graphic Station).
Connecting via Satelite from the mountains of Washington State.
I do my ARGing on my laptop (WinXP Pro) and my Wife does hers on her Mac. Everything else is for development, hosting and testing. ( I have to call a friend for *NIX tests)

Win XP on 2 PCs at home and one at work. I use firefox almost exclusively and I have not come across more than two sites that I just closed because they were truly "broken" in firefox.
As far as linux goes, I think the issue can be boiled down to the fact that most people don't consider linux to be an "end user" OS, and certainly not a gaming OS. Of course PMs (or the designers they hire) are going to try and support the widest range of systems possible, but as colin pointed out with the 80/20 rule, it's going to come back to the cost, in time and money, to accomplish it. The cut off has to happen somewhere and more often than not I'd wager linux specific support is going to fall on the wrong side of it.

I've only come across one site (I forget what it was...) that wasn't Firefox-friendly. Honestly it seems like Firefox is just about as common, if not more so than IE... At least where I live, being seen running IE is almost worse than being seen connecting through AOL.
As for my OS, I've been using Windows of some version or another as long as I can remember. 3.1 in the early 90's, followed by 95, 98, and XP (right now I'm running the latest service pack). Yay for basically never having serious compatibility issues...

OS Stats Thought its might prove useful for this discussion. With over 50% of ARG players using windows XP it is understandable that PM's make games with that OS in mind.

Uh, "PowerPC" isn't an operating system. It's a microprocessor architecture.
Which might explain why such a big chunk of your diagram is "unknown."

Not when someone with an Intel Mac browses your site.
