The picture does not enlarge well - looks like a glass sculpture of something.

Maybe it (glass) was meant to represent sand (silica?)....sand in an oyster leading to the Pearl page?

So are we supposed to be doing anything now or we just wait?? My best guess was variations on /tea/time/ or timefortea.html but nothing came out of it.. and I really dont like the weird pictures if they are part of a puzzle because they seem illogical.. what's everyone else doing?

I'm looking at synonyms for the set of 7 images (6 from the jigsaw frames and the 7th from pearl). They might spell out a 7-letter page name, or sound out a 7-syllable phrase.

I would also recommend reading the poem "The Walrus and The Carpenter" in search of clues. This seems to be the theme of the current stage.

We also still have the two pictures of torn playing cards, and the correspondence in the emails. While I have been assuming they are just setting the tone of the scene, setting up characters in a new story as it were, they might also be a new branch of clues.

And what of the playing card photos sent by the Queen? They should be giving us a place and time (loko and horoj) -- perhaps for the tea party? I will have the IRC room open, just in case the Queen sends word that our invitations are ready.

But mostly I'm watching TV -- rented the season one episodes of "Angel".

I think this is new as of today, but anyways, if you type in an invalid url from the mirlandano domain you get an interesting 404 error screen.
It has a link to a google site in esperanto.

So, umm, is anyone alive out there ?
Did this thing die already, or did I miss the ending ??

The 404 page was always there, always like that (altho' it did have some broken images which have been fixed.)

I keep checking the pearl page for an update. I don't think we have missed our tea party yet. Then again, I started trying all sorts of URLs related to tea...

one of the things I miss about the Beast...regularity. Updates and new puzzles were made on a regular basis, hints were dropped whenever the progress of the game was sluggish. One thing, progress never stopped, there was always something to do.

Acheron is lagging, and now this is too, whatever this may be.

Are we done here? Is there more to find? Do we need to find the PMs and wake them up?

Well, just to be precise, Acheron is in an announced gap between the prequel and the actual game. Not a lag.

As for wabbit hunting, I say let the PMs enjoy the holiday with the rest of us - it's no fun for them either if most of us are away. (for you non-US members - July 4/Independence Day) I plan on starting to work on my tan this weekend.

Don't take this the wrong way, but as far as the 'hunt' goes, I think it's pretty harsh to want to 'wake the PMs up' when, as far as I can tell, there's plenty of material out there to be sifting through. Perhaps through more careful examination of what has already been discovered would lead to 'hints' or 'clues' or more pages.

Sorry if this is rant-ish, but I'm a little tired of the Puppetmasters taking the fall for things like 'pace of game'... especially when said PMs have lives outside the computer screen. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, as the saying goes, especially when it comes to entertaining projects like this 'hunt'.

I come from the camp which needs to clearly know what is a puzzle and what is not. I'm not used to the ambiguity of some hunts, but as long as I am told that the ambiguity is *part* of the puzzle, then I can deal with it.

For example, I am unsure how to categorize the "pearl" page. It says something about meeting at 6 o'clock "tomorrow". If I take that at face value, we missed a meeting date, and that page is now a dead end. If, on the other hand, I know to treat this as camoflage for another puzzle, I might reconsider it in light of other dangling clues.

Occasionally, I might feel the need to ask a PM for clarification on whether or not we're waiting for a new stage to be released, but maybe that's just my lack of experience. Should I expect a page to say, "yes, keep checking here for an update," or "congrats, this part is complete," and assume everything else is still an open puzzle?

I'll go back to looking at the images of playing cards today.

Going right back to the start with the picture of the White Rabbit, the word "brother" seems to point me in the direction of the March Hare.

Seeing the set of images, the torn up cards seem to say "off with their heads" to me, but then it isn't just their heads that have been removed...

I was really enjoying this, but I'm not sure what happened now! I don't join chat so I don't know if you guys moved along, but the forum has been dead for the past couple of days. I revisited everything from the start, but couldn't come out with anything. So what happens now? What's the current puzzle anyway? The glass picture? The playing cards? The weird pictures? The note on the pearl page?

Those could all be open puzzles, or pieces to one big puzzle, we just don't know. Nothing really progressing in chat without you. Rumors of someone having solved this stage but not telling us. Rumors of a new hint coming if we don't make some progress soon.
