Endgame Anyone have any thoughts on how the endgame will work? Here's what I've put together so far...
You have to be registered by 11:59pm on July 11th... but the UK only has to be registered by 2pm on July 12th. Spain has to be registered by the very weird 00:00:00 on July 12th (is that early morning or end of day??). Japan seems to show 23:59:59 on the 12th. I'm not great with international time zones, but I believe that the last ones to have to register would then be the UK?
I imagine that there will then be a day or two or more for those latecomers to finish the puzzles. Winners are contacted on the 17th, so maybe the final puzzle(s) are on the 15th or 16th.
I swear I saw somewhere that the final would be 2 puzzles, but now I can't find that in the rules. If so, that will be puzzles 14 and 15. Depending on how you count, I think we've solved 9 puzzles so far.
I wonder if all locations will start at the same time, to prevent people from looking at the other locations puzzles in advance. That would be a good way to prevent cheating, as long as their servers were up to the traffic. Is there a good time of day when all locations could play at the same time?

from other stuff i have found, read my new topic - i came up with:
5555n7711e OR
5554n7711e -
however these bring you to somewhere slap bang in the middle of russia! the soil looks the right colour there - as per trailer advertisement for the hunt, but russia? its somewhere called UREZ.
i SWAPPED the 'e' for a 'w', and ended up in QUEBEC!
5555n7711w
5554n7711w

my avatar is ALAN PARTRIDGE - comedy genius! hehehe
and the coordinates?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
looking at other threads if you are unaware, but certain numbers have been appearing throughout the game, do you agree? and they may be of some use - so i started searching with them. the first half, before the N in the middle of the plate at the Tropic of Cancer, was a 5 on the plate and a 5 OR 4 on the wall at madeira (there is some dispute over the fifth line/crack in wall) then the remaining coordinates (west or east - i tried both) i got from the 7 on the rock at the top of the ladders in saint helena and 7 on a tree in saint mary...
1s from pulau jong cave wall and mas a tierras OR Diomede, in the bottom right corner, check out my post here:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15496&start=30
and it says what has been found...
what do you think??
jase.

I think I would rather go to Quebec than Russia! (no offense to our Russian friends )
If it was going to be in Russia they wouldn't have put in the "no drinking" rule would they? After all, what is Russia without a little vodka, yes?
teehee.......
I don't think the final locale is Castaway Cay simply because Disney employees aren't exempt from the contest. Plus, I've actually been to that island, very beautiful but small....not to sound dumb but I don' t think you could bury a car and not hit water while digging. Of course, the commercial is just that, a staged commercial. (Kinda like a McDonalds commercial where the burger is plastic)

burial grounds as far as i can guess, the ONLY people exempt from playing is africa. so, it would be mogical for the car to be buried there. if it was not , it would be discrimination againt them not to be in the game.. make sense??

Southern tip of Jamaica, near Clarendon.
The coords match best with the extra clues gathered so far and you need a passport to get there.
It's a tropical isle in the Carribean, basically back where we started a few miles from Port Royal. It's big enough to have hotels, support infrastructure, communications. It's also large enough and has enough remote areas that burying a small container at night would go unnoticed, but it's still just a relatively small island in the Carribean.
If you wanted to film the final seven participants race across the island you could get film crews in and out through customs alot easier than, say, Russia, and after all...
"Jamaica became a leading buccaneer base after it was captured by the British from the Spanish in 1655. So much plundered gold and silver was flowing into the city by 1662 the government established a mint there." - http://www.unmuseum.org/pirate.htm
Yup, my money is on Jamaica

Glossing over the plastic burgers, I understand your point about Castaway Cay. You wouldn't be able to dig a large enough hole without it becoming water logged I suspect. And I make a bit of an assumption that a company that wants to bury a car would consult someone that knows about digging holes first. Hopefully THEY would've considered water logging.
Good point.

i think its on the disney lot in central florida. i was watching the commercial at a frends house, whose father just happened to notice the palmetto trees in the background, only native to florida. plus its totally plausible seeing as disney has more land than most city's in florida.
