[EMAIL] From Sam re: missing persons

This is what I received
Quote:
Carol,

The turnout for the meeting was fantastic. It's really nice to be able
to have faith that the community will come together when they need to.
I can't believe the vote was as close as it was though! I'm quite
curious as to how the bossman would have voted if he had been the one to
break the tie. Sometimes he seems all for Marzent's plans, but I can't
believe that his mother would have approved of the tearing down of the
library.

I actually posted a small bit of news about the missing people reports
last week on the Aglaura site, not that I really knew much then (or now
for that matter). Chief Prufrock is going to be giving a press
conference tomorrow to talk about Sarah's missing masks and hopefully
let everyone know what is going on with the missing people reports.

And for continuity, here is what I sent

Thank you so much for the reply, Sam. We saw the news bulletin on the
Aglaura website. It must have been a wonderful feeling to be the deciding
vote & know that you too helped save the library. I don't think any of us
realized how many residents attended the debate & participated in the vote.
It is so wonderful when the community is involved.

I have a question though, I heard rumors that there were people reported
missing in Aglaura. The horrible tragety of the father who followed his
daughter a year later at Ash Grove was bad enough, but now missing people?
Have you heard anything about this?

It is so difficult to get a copy of Aglaura's newspaper here in New Orleans,
especially after our own tragedy, Hurrcane Katrina. Our newsstands that
used to carry papers from all over the country & the world are still not up
and running. So if there is any information you can share, I sure would
appreciate it. I have a lot of family in that region & can spread the word
to be on the lookout for the missing people.

Thanks again for your help in saving the Library,

Carol

i got a similar email;
Quote:
Jenna,

The reports started coming in about a week or two ago, around the time
the police investigation in the woods at the southern end of town
started. I'm not sure if the two are connected or not, but I'm guessing
that they are. Chief Prufrock is going to give a press conference
tomorrow and she will probably make a statement about what exactly is
going on. I hope she does anyway. People around here are starting to
get nervous.

some similar comments.... of note see the Mr Dunn went 'missing' before he died.... also the mention of MIB, could the DEGs be back? and from Keith saying 'don't believe everything you read' and Dale's dream about 'sacrafices'.... could Mr Dunn have been a sacrafice?!? Shocked

Were you unable to get into the IRC chat? The first half of that night (before I had my little meeting with the sandman) is becoming such a blur now. I'm glad that we recorded the call-in portion of the meeting so I was able to listen to it again a few times. I've had that song from it stuck in my head for days now - "Aaaaglaaauraaaa... The plethora of knowledge that you hold....Aaaaglaaauraaaa!" I was even thinking of doing a techno remix of it... ya know, with all that extra time I have on my hands. Wink

I keep thinking about the Dunn family. It's just so horrible. I can't imagine what they're going through after losing two family members in such a short time. I overheard someone say that Mr. Dunn was reported missing the day before he died. I wonder if it has anything to do with the other reports of missing people? I really shouldn't be believing gossip I hear at the diner though. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff they can come up with over there... the Jersey Devil driving a Buick through town, a gang of MIBs creeping around in the alleyways or ghosts swimming over at the Lake of Tears. People around here sure aren't afraid to tell a few tall tales. Very Happy

Well, I'm off to sleep (yay!) Have a good one!
