[UPDATE] THF.org- Life Extension Project (June 16th)

Using the clues from P's latest update we get the password:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
recluse

Go to LEP and you will find a new clickable are on the word mortality which will give you a PW box. Use the PW from P's update and away you go....
Very long update with some VERY interesting info about Alvar Hanso

P.S. You might want to also know the name of the director of the VIK Inst.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Armand Zander

Edit: IMPORTANT!!- At the end of the update you will get a screen that says that THF.org has been maliciously hacked. Once you see this, you can't get back in to THF.org again. So can someone please get some screencaps? Also do we have the rest of the info from THF.org archinved somewhere?

I thinks I agrees.

And good work, people, on catching the RECLUSE password. I have no idea how you managed that.

:? I must be LOST

Confused I have looked over the LEP page a number of times, but cannot find the word "mentality".

Here are quotes from the page as I am seeing it.
Quote:
"Given enough time, there is no end to what
human beings can accomplish, no frontiers
we cannot live to pass on to future
generations."

Alvar Hanso

Quote:
The grand summation of all of the
Foundation's work from prevention and
wellness, to the development of new
gene therapies and the development of
young minds is nothing less that the
extension of life itself.

Quote:
If it is, indeed, an instinctive human drive--
as basic as the need to eatg, to sleep, to love
-- to see mortality itself arrested, the Life-
Extension Project hunmbly accepts the
mantle of responsability to see this done--
to push the boundaries of science and
technology to see the human race go farther
than ever before.

So Hanso is actually an experiment himself? What does that mean to THF I wonder? I suppose the earlier guesses that Mittlewerk hijacked THF were true as it would seem. Maybe Hanso's not such a bad guy afterall...

Random, I know...just brainstorming...

Namaste.

I allowed the three surveillance cameras showing Alvar's vacant desk, to run for a few years without clicking, and discovered that the dates they span goes an unbelievably long way without any change to the loop:
*Audio stopped at around the 15/16th May 2006 (don't know if this is programmed into the flash or just a quirk)
*Footage continued to loop as the date moved past today's date. I saw it get as far as August. (With desktop still same as the first day).

Meh, now that I've written that I'm sure it's unimportant, but I'll still post it because I had that browser window open for so long...

The same thing happened to me. I think it's just a quirk.

Just a little something I noticed:

With every that that the camera recordings are fast-forwarded, stuff disappears from Alvars desk.

Since the "recluse" PW kept telling me "password incorrect," thanks much for the direct link, matt_the_pale. Rolling Eyes

Don't know if this is new or not, but www.namaste.thehansofoundation.org is a working way to view the site? I don't have time to check the whole site right now. Just saw "The site will no longer accessible to the public, Namaste." And thought, why the hell not try it Razz

Holy shit.

That is some amazing flash work, it had me on the edge of my seat. Combined with the new video, I actually have a little bit of respect to these updates.

If only there was a little more involvement though.

As always, here are some spoiler images of it if anyone wanted some close-ups.

http://whataboutpp.com/lost/upload/images/?dir=/thehansofoundation/extension

A few things to note:

The dates are completely random, if you look in the flash you'll see they are randomly picked. You can see in the screenshots the days on the months skip around. With this they are telling us the specific dates are not important, rather the idea of fast forwarding and showing that things were disappearing over time and that his parking spot was not to account for over numerous years.

My thoughts:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is pretty interesting with the information they showed. My assumption is the life extension program was to help save his own life because he knew (In the letter, he told him to not take the blood) he had a disease and he was going to die without it.

But that also brought the question, why extend your life if you're going to hide.

Tricky, tricky.

I have a question which is related to season 2, so beware of major spoilers.

Does this look like the bio suit desmond was wearing in the season finale in the hatch before the plane crash?

You can put any sub-domain in on the domain and it will treat it differently because of cookies. So yes, you could go to http://anything.thehansofoundation.org and you will be able to view it again, assuming the sub-domain is not already in use. (e.g. hole2, persephone, etc.)
