[UPDATE][PUZZLE] 7-12-06 "Well Done..."

Lyn's posted another one to the Hang Separately forum.

Well done! Good heads, and good ears.

I've always heard that the rhythm method doesn't work... Are you sure that's the word you want us to be spreading? Because I think you'll find more legs taking on the mission than heads...

Well, you won't find the rhythm method to be of much use here, but your legs won't help you much either. Your heads may, however.

There's a link from the "Here" to the following:
http://www.hangseparately.com/lyn/image.html (Attached below)

The image has a guillotine in the upper left, which might be more than just ambiance Razz Perhaps some sort of slicing and dicing is needed for this one.

My guess is that the red circles when put together will form a word or phrase, or, once we get all the vertical words filled in, we "guillotine" the columns to the red dot, and something will be spelled out at the top.

Annnnd GO!

Oooh! Something in the source code!

Razz

I think the second word is BRIGHTN(E)SS, and the eighth word looks like H(A)IRBRUSH.

The 6th word could be "Forgetfulness"

Also of note, the words going across from left to right start with the letters of the alphabet:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMN

Re: [UPDATE][PUZZLE] 7-12-06 "Well Done..."

Teeny hint:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Beheading" is a term of art in the world of cryptic crosswords.

Slightly less teeny hint:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It means to remove the first letter of a word. For example, "Lost front of bent charm" could be a clue for ENCHANT (charm), by "beheading" PENCHANT (bent).

Dead giveaway:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And that's what the guillotine means. All of the words in Lyn's list become other words if you remove the first letter. That's how we know which of the possibilities are the correct ones:

PATHETICALLY
RIGHTNESS
HASTENING
ENUNCIATION
NUMERATION
RIGHTFULNESS
ASTRONOMICAL
AIRBRUSH
SLANDER
UNCTION
NIGHTLY
IONIZATION
EAGERNESS
EVERMORE

And the solution:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The red letters are PESIASNL.
Which anagrams to PAINLESS.
Which is our new video.
Arnold's waving around a gun. Charming.
