Site down?

I have been trying to access perplexcity.com all day today (Thursday, June 29, 2006) on the East Coast of the US. Is anyone else having problems? The only portion of the site I can get to is the walkthrough, but the www. sites all time out.

I appreciate anyones confirmation that it is down. Also, I'm pretty new at this, is the site going down a normal occurence? Is there normal planned outages?

maybe it's more than an outage

I'm in the central time zone, us, and have been having the same problem since about 1:00 yesterday (before that I hadn't tried to connect). The error seems to be that the server is droping the connection, or that it is refusing it, rather than the server being down, or the badwidth being exceded/saturated. Prehaps there is more to this than a simple technical glitch.

What if some group (maybe a 3 group) is trying to shut down the link, or is interfearing with it. what if we are getting close, or the clues we need are coming out in the near future (wave 4) and they want to stop them from being released.

I'm interested to hear what others think may be happening, vut I do beileve that it would probably be wise to not dismiss anything as just background noise.

It's an interesting theory I s'pose, but the main PXC site has been down in the past with the exact same errors we're getting today. Still, fell free to SPEC. It's a free board, after all. Oh, and welcome to Unfiction Very Happy

Welcome to 2006, and welcome also to the internet.

No, unfortunately, it is not like "The Jetsons" - flying cars are not generally available, we don't all work three hours a day, three days a week and yes, our technological miracles do sometimes break and require maintenance.

There is no need for panic. There is no need for concern. The Computer is your friend. Happiness is compulsory. You are happy aren't you citizen?

I'm sure that once Mind Candy's team of crack flying monkeys wielding spanners is made aware of the issue, it will be fixed forthwith. In the meantime, here is a picture to keep you amused.
