[PS2] Katamari Damacy I was just messaging with Nova, and we both agree that this is a really fantastic game. Is anyone else playing it?
It's sort of puzzly in that you eventually learn of the best route with which to make your katamari huge and gorgeous enough for the king to love you, but mostly it's catchy and cute and very, very, very funny.
I might post my scores here, once I get a little better. I've gotten to Star 7, and the bear constellation.

I love it!!! I got this when it first came out and played the hell out of it. It's so much fun in it's quirky weirdness, especially that last level, where you can roll up godzilla and ultraman. And clouds. Plus, one of the best soundtracks out there . If you have a ps2 and can find it, this is one of the best $20 purchases I've made.

me too!
but, isn't it kinda disturbing when you roll over a human and they scream(?) and flail wildly? i know i wouldn't to be rolled into a ball then ignited into a new star

That's totally my goal in life! Is that something I should reconsider?

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe you should ask Nova.

If by "disturbing" you mean it's awesome and makes your day, then yes . Isn't that what all stars are made of?

Certainally one of the most innovative games that I've played in a while - it's not something you'd instantly think - ah yes must go and buy this - or at least I didn't. But it is excellent fun! (strangely compelling too!)

They did a pretty comedic review of this game on X-Play, definitely worth watching if you ever get the chance.

MMmmmm... Katamari Damacy.
Silrn and I beat this, courtesy of a friend, a couple of months ago. It was quite fun. I think Penny Arcade put it best. "i've paid more for imported albums, and they didn't have the decency to come with a game."
My only complaint is it's a tad short. I think Silrn managed to beat it in a night, and we unlocked most everythign else in another day or so. The only thing we haven't done is tried to pick up EVERYTHING, which I can't imagined doing unless you're OCD.

Hah, I was wondering if someone was going to post that. My Kristin and I would recite that everytime it happened for it's sheer weirdness. Yeah, it's a short game, but you can't beat doing that last level over and over again .

It's worth buying just for the music, and for the way the king sounds when he talks. Kick ass.
They're doing a sequel, apparently.
