[UPDATE] MYSPACE - Mandrake Wig new blog (June 29)

Quote:
Thursday, June 29, 2006

Thank you all.

I want to WELCOME and thank all my new MySpace friends for visiting my page and reading my thought and mental excursions. I enjoy your questions and comments immensely. I hope you understand that at times I cant really answer all of YOUR questions with the specificity most of you would like. NEXT time you ask questions Ill try my hardest to supply as much information as I can provide.

One of my other hobbies is photography. I try to take interesting pictures and VIDEO as often as possible. As a young adult I often envisioned myself a young photojournalist getting the breaking story for the national news magazines... ah those childhood dreams and ambitions. So I really wanted to give my totally amateur photos a nice viewing place and found the gallery on MySpace to be wanting.

When I first joined MySpace I met a lovely lady named Lena. When she learned of my off-hours interest in photography she pointed me to a site called Flickr. If you get a chance or have some time take a look at my photos. And thanks again Lena for your helpful generosity, your discretion, and for just being you. You can meet some of the nicest people on MySpace. Enjoy.

Notice the capitalized words WELCOME YOUR NEXT VIDEO, I guess hes clarifying for anyone who mightve missed them before.

Well then. Looks like we now know where to get the next two words.

For clarification, people, we need to have 6 words today. Fiber said so. Our first four, are, of course, WELCOME YOUR NEXT VIDEO.

Does it strike anyone strange that he mentions the name of the person that referred him to flickr?

There is:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/Lena

but It doesn't look related on the surface.

We're trying to identify some of the crazy mandrake photos. The taxi appears to be from Vancouver.

The 'chairs' picture is Boca Juniors Stadium in Buenos Aires.

And the 'author of the tango song caminito' picture is Gabino Coria Penaloza, also an Argentinian.

EDIT: I haven't checked yet, but many of the pictures seem to be from the same Flickr user: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elaineck/

Follow up: Yep, they're all from this same (OOG) user. So now what?

The photo of the "author of the tango song Caminito" is a bust of author of the tango's lyrics, Gabino Coria Peņaloza
he's in the middle. So that's what, three photos from Argentina? (ships, stadium, bust)

Moot now...

Does that mean that mandrake's mySpace and flickr are OOG, or does that mean that the PMs are being sloppy and using pics from this guys personal site?

We really don't know. Since the ROT guys keep directing us to Mandrake, he's obviously IG. AFter all, we found the last two 'words' on his MySpace page. Today he directed us to his Flickr page, but we don't know if these pictures are anything yet, because according to todays ROT info from FiberOptician, 'Drake wasn't supposed to come into play until tomorrow...

So it's all very confusing. My guess is that these Flickr pictures comes from someone who is OOG, but perhaps a friend/colleague of the PMs. Or maybe yet again (a la "The Map") we weren't supposed to track these down.

I can't imagine how most of these photos relate, but on page 6 one photo caught my eye. On page 6, I believe the woman missing a head is Persephone...

Apparently this picture was taken the the Bardo Museum is Tunis.

Mandrake has updated his Flicker page with two new images.

The first is a picture titled grass that shows an old truck in a green grassy field. The captions is Green like MONEY. *cough* I guess we know what that's about.

The other is probably the creepiest picture I've seen yet in this game. Seriously, you have to see it to believe it. Anyway, it's titled Bole with pie and has the mysterious caption Get a clue: Direct observation or participation?

So is this supposed to lead us to our next clue in the ROT word trail?

Check out the background of bole with pie. That's probably the direct observation reference, eh?

Sounds like a crossword puzzle clue. I'd say maybe the word experience is a possible answer - it could be defined both as observation and participation.

this is my first post on anything like this, so, lol, be gentle. i have been reading some of the sites listed as official and this struck me.

MITTELWERK: Minsu, so great to see you.
MINSU: Dr. Mittelwerk. Good to see you too. Mr. Paik sends his warmest regards.
MITTELWERK: He's just saying that because we've paid him so much money.
MINSU: Ah. I see that it's straight to business.
MITTELWERK: As always.
MINSU: I think you'll be pleased to hear your ship is almost ready; with all the modifications. But I have to warn you - this kind of ship can't dock just anywhere.
MITTELWERK: We have a port. How long will it be?
MINSU: I'd say no sooner than three weeks.
MITTELWERK: Could you pass the pepper? So what will it take to make it 2 weeks?

this is not referring to the construction of a ship, but rather a refit. And a ship with quite a bit of mass if it cant just dock anywhere. which jumped back at me, when i saw this picture from the photo archive mentioned on this topic.

http://static.flickr.com/57/177055895_d77b415da4.jpg?v=0

it could also possibly be related to

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
micheal and walt were told to take a heading in their boat and keep going, and they would find rescue. Is it possible that the others are not even based on the island fully, that they are maintaining a ship like this outside the area of the islands effects? it was clear that the huts on island were a trick for appearances, but why bother unless they had substantially better accomidation. Is this ship or one like it the rescue to which they are referring? why have we seen no sign of the research ship rousaue(sorry for spelling) came in. They showed a smaller yach was repairable, why not a larger research vessel, and what better place to consuct studies of the island from?

edit

however, i just traced the ship , shes currently a art gallery in buenos aries.
