Not that it means much, but doing a google search on 'Project Z-Theta9' shows that there are 3 sites (all going to the same page)

www.eon8.com
www.eon8.net
www.eon8.org

Also, there is a cache of an earlier page that says Update: Project X21-B is now in Stage 4

The 'code' at the bottom of this one is:
ES-12 D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820AAB3238922BCC25A6F606EB525FFDC569BF31C7FF062936A
96D3C8BD1F8F2FF3D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820C9F0F895FB98AB9159F51FD0297E236D
8F14E45FCEEA167A5A36DEDD4BEA2543D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820D3D9446802A44259
755D38E6D163E820

Other than that, I got nothing.

----

edit: Did a little bit of looking at the code I got from the cache page. When I compare it to the list that massive collected, it turns out that there are long repeated strings that occur throughout the rest of the codes. In fact, my entire code can be made up of fragments of the rest of them:

D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820 (first section of 2nd code)
AAB3238922BCC25A6F606EB525FFDC56 (first section of 8th code)
9BF31C7FF062936A96D3C8BD1F8F2FF3 (first section of 9th code)
D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820 (first section of 2nd code)
C9F0F895FB98AB9159F51FD0297E236D (first section of 10th code)
8F14E45FCEEA167A5A36DEDD4BEA2543 (first section of 4th code)
D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820 (first section of 2nd code)
D3D9446802A44259755D38E6D163E820 (first section of 2nd code)

I'm watching tv right now, so I can't go through each code to see if they follow a similar pattern, but this might make it easier to figure out what the section is supposed to be saying.

The "Deployment Tracker" has updated (now as of "0900" hours.). There look to be a lot more dots in the NE then there were before, I thinl.

The Deployment Logs have increased. Earlier it was at 11, now it's at 18.

I wonder if each string represents a site that is linked to it? It seems to track where people are coming from, maybe each new website it detects is stored and generates a deployment log?

Looks like either we all had the same idea about the same time or there is a scheduled job to add to the list. I was coming to the site from places like babelfish and via my various webmail accounts and nothing was happening and then, all of a sudden, there were 19 full records. Thing is... They're all completely different, now.

Where, the list was like:

I'm curious as to two things:
1) Someone with the technical expertise would not insert individual, separately named dots into the map if there weren't a good reason?
2) Why are there exactly twice as many dots (76 each) on the map as there are 16 byte (ASCII) halves of log entries (38 each) ?

Could each log entry represent two location points on the map? And is the hex some kind of a hash as to IP Address?

Anybody here an MD5 guru?

I'm wondering if the dot collections are increasing along with the logs. I just took a screen shot of the current state and am goign to bed. I'l compare that with whatever it look sliek when I get back from work tommorrow.

By the way.. we're back down to just two deployement logs

And back up to 3 (and a half) deployment logs.

Code:

About the deployment tracker; the dot on Melbourne (Australia) certainly wasn't there until I clicked in (when I found the site) and refreshed a 2nd time. I'd agree that it probably marks where the site is accessed.

Right now, it sort of looks like the deployment logs are the main thing we have to go off, and they... really don't make any sense at all.

Okay, now for my two cents worth:

I believe, as most others have already said, that the letters/numbers in the "Deployment Tracker" are simply our IPs encrypted.

And, since the "Log" matches the "Tracker" I would assume that the same applies to that as well (only that the "Log" gives a small portion of the "Tracker" information... possibly just the lastest IPs to visit).

So, nothing as of yet to say on that subject. Now, onto the next one.... whatever it may be.

EDIT: I have taken the liberty of refreshing the main page (countdown page) twice (ie. at two seperate times) and splitting the codes up into sets of 32. Hmmm... interesting. I have highlighted some of the same sets (both within themselves and between eachother). What does it all mean? Dunno, but it may give us a clue as to how it's being encrytped.

How? Well, if we can figure out why it's changing with each refresh (and what is causing it to change - the time? definitely not our IPs) then we can use that information to make a sort of "decryption key" given what we know to be true at the time the code was taken.

The first set was taken at 65D:20H:53M:00S
There is no time for the second set as I did not know what I was looking for exactly. However, it was shortly after. Try it yourself to see what you come up with.

For point one the location the spots come from always returns a spot: http://www.eon8.com/spot/ so they aren't really individually named, it's more like they are individually traceable. (by using number.gif)

For point 2, I think your on to something. I'm not very experienced, but I think MD5 hash is 16bytes, and all the 'codes' look like some form of hash

I wonder if I was before or after you. I don't know if there was dot there when i accessed it because it doesn't display properly in opera. I think we need to remember that other sites have been following this before us, so actions we take can't be linked to us because 'we are the only ones'

All up, this site works well, not just looks good. It's had some thought put into it. (To go out on a limb movie sites are made to look good, not work good, so I'm guessing this isn't for a movie)

Ok, as of 0700 "Current Deployment as at 0700 hours, 20060426"

There are four dots over the UK, one in Scotland, one in Northern Ireland, one in what appears to be East Anglia, and one in the South West (though unclear exactly where).

The South West one is most likely me, as I am in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The dot isn't exact (a little too far west and south), but close enough darn it.

To add my two cents about the deployment tracker - being in the Midwest US, I have yet to see a dot that I feel represents the area of which I live, and have been following the site since it first appeared here. Maybe I'm wrong, and the dot that represents me is just not close enough for my liking.

Okay, just went clicked clicked, and damned if a dot didn't appear in southwestern New Mexico. Kinda weird.

And NaNoWriMo? Hee. That was one site I never expected to come up during an ARG.

I checked the Tracker and there's no dot anywhere near Chicago. I wonder if the dots only represent locations that have been approved or rejected. When I visited, the HTTP referer was still pending verification.

But I think the codes are the best thing to go on at this point. They definitely do look like an MD5 hash. This might be a long shot, but has anyone checked the security certificate that is downloaded when attempting to log in to secure.eon8.com? If you use Firefox, you can examine the certificate, and if I recall correctly, there's an MD5 hash in there as well. I'm at work right now and I'm forced to use IE (plus the boss is wandering around) so I can't look at it. Like I said, it's probably a long shot, but maybe it could be something.

EDIT:
Hey Rogi, you saw this set of numbers at around midnight?
