This latest video is one of several from Rachel that appears to be speeded up/slowed down in places. At first I thought this was down to my piss-poor connection speed, but having downloaded the vids, I'm convinced that there's definitely something going on. Should we be analysing these videos more thoroughly?

I noticed that too, and I am thinking the same thing – perhaps there is more to the video, and right under our noses?

I am not fond of the format her posts are taking. While it is nice to see real people instead of interacting constantly with websites, I don't find that Rachel's videos provide much information that a) she doesn't spell out during the rest of her post, or b) that we haven't figured out already and way in advance. Just sayin'. Am I missing some subtext here?

This has been the style of every video that Rachel has thus put out, and every time it does, someone says "hey, check out that part where Rachel's lips don't match up with the speed of the video, can anyone figure out what she's saying and tell if it's the same, maybe we're missing something important?!" It's been there since the get-go, and there has never been anything discovered.

Remember: They're spoonfeeding us clues because this is a Big Commercial ARG. I doubt very much that they'd be putting potentially important clues in something as miniscule as voice-sync, and not outright, blatantly say (on Speaker's blog, for instance) "HEY, LOOK AT HOW SHE ISN'T SYNCHING RIGHT!"

Anyway... just enjoy the unrealistic editing (because seriously, the girl is on the run from the Fixer and has time to put fun timing styles into her video posts? Next thing you know, she'll include theme music or somethign)

Actually there is already a Rachel Blake spoof video with background music.

Update; Rachel and Gidget are having a bit of a back and forth argument. Sanremo was intentionally name dropped.

Here are the relevant bits of the Rachel/GG convo:

First Rachel:
Quote:

05.54 Just checked in on all your comments... looks like we're already overflowing with information on Enzo Valenzetti. But -- once again, this doesn't quite add up. I know a lot of you have been saying it for a while, that Valenzetti was born in Sardinia, that I should be heading to Sardinia...

And with this new information that's come out today from this VALENZETTI EQUATION site (seems official, doesn't it?), it would appear, on the surface of things, that you guys have been right. That Valenzetti WAS born in Sardinia. And I wonder... if that's true, is there any reason to believe he didn't return to Sardinia after his tenure at Princeton?

And, yet, here I am in Sanremo.

Now, GidgetGirl's been right before. I've had reason to trust her. She says Sanremo is the place. But... like I said in my video, nothing's going on. Mittelwerk hasn't even mentioned Valenzetti's name yet, let alone gone to look for him. Is Valenzetti alive? Is he even here? Am I missing my window to find the old man myself?

GidgetGirl, please tell me you haven't steered me wrong.

Then there's more (reversed into logical time-order):
Quote:

GidgetGirl: Rachel, I know it's confusing. And I've read what everyone else has been saying, as well. But... if there was a gag order on Valenzetti's personal information, if he himself didn't want the details released, can we really believe anything this author may have seemingly uncovered? Should we not approach this information with a leery eye?

Rachel: Of course we should. But, what about YOUR information?

GidgetGirl: Why would I steer you wrong? Does that make any sense, that I would lead you part way toward the truth only to spin you around a few days later?

Rachel: You didn't answer my question.

GidgetGirl: And you didn't answer mine. Is Mittelwerk not here? If you're not going to trust me, Rachel, you'd better at least trust yourself. Your own words: "whatever is about to happen is ABOUT TO HAPPEN."

Rachel: Please.
Why did you tell me Sanremo?

GidgetGirl: I hope you realize what you're asking of me.

Rachel: I NEED to know.

GidgetGirl: Fine. I've seen The Hanso Foundation's dossier on Enzo Valenzetti. The details of his life were all there in black and white. The documents say he was born here and returned here. That's all I know. Now, if you still feel yourself needing to believe you'll find the truth in the pages of some out of print book by a dead pop-novelist, be my guest, Rachel. This is your crusade, not mine.

So, quite the little Girlfight* we got going on there... I guess we're not supposed to believe Gary Troup now either. Hrm.

*Michelle Rodriguez reference Smile

[SPEC]Perhaps Rachel started working at Hanso to get closer to the man she thinks is her father, but then became disgusted by what she perceived to be shady dealings?

More spec, but GidgetGirl and other characters have asked Rachel over and over why she is "doing all this". Maybe I'm reading into things, but it certainly seems to be a point that's been stressed. Has she ever given anything but the generic "Hanso is bad people" answer?

I may be wrong, but I believe that letter has always been from Eliza.

You might be confusing this letter with the complaint letter from Zander.
