[SPEC] [DISCUSSION] Characteristics of the Final Island

Just had some thoughts about stuff on the final island, wherever that may be...

THE BIG HOLE:

Volvo may well have dug many holes or made what appear to be freshly dug over areas / empty holes. This wouldn't be good if you were the cross-country runner-type who would be planning on sacking off the puzzles and just sprinting around the island looking for a patch of dirt. say a rectangular container-sized patch of earth.

SCARRED EARTH:

Do you think they would re-turf the area that the container was buried in - if they only dug one hole?

PUZZLES:

Will there be similar puzzles? Will everybody set off from the same place? HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY PUT ON THE FINAL ISLAND?? If you were good at orienteering, this could be good for you, running around different coordinates...

Any thoughts on these? any others ideas for the final island -
N.B. Not a discussion on WHERE the final island is...

Jase.

[EDIT] Changed topic slightly to stress the difference between this thread and the one where the actual location of the final island is being discussed. --Giskard

No telling where it's buried, that's for sure.
But my guess is, it's not on an island.

I imagine they'll take the contestents and drop them off within a 50 square mile area, give them a map and a starter clue and then just keep the cameras on them the entire time.

I wonder if it will be completed in one day, or it will take several?

Odds are that the amount of forethough they had to have had here, they could've easily planted new grass/ground covering and it would (depending on that portion of the world's climate) have time to germinate.

I'm starting to get tired of the online hunt though. I've seen a couple of puzzles that weren't really done well, particularly if you've got a cheap monitor Embarassed, and it appears that others have the same problem.

Hopefully the remaining puzzles will be challenging, but solvable without the extra expense. I liked the lighthouse beacon...

Good luck mate!

It's probably at a Disney World location.
