ive a reply back from peter from mysterytown

I can't believe so many people are reading the comments on these Mr Leeds videos. It's embarassing to say now, but I actually threw away the email that I got those pictures in. I guess I was so excited to get them, and then later I went through my inbox and I saw someone's name I didn't recognize and click-whoosh! In any case, I don't think it was mrleeds@anything.
I did come across the name Aglaura when I started poking around. You see, I have this web site and someone has been sending weird email there. I'm trying to track down the sender, but the only message I've recieved is "Ongs Hat Lives." I found the Mr Leeds video whilst poking around for clues. I think I saw the name Aglaura in there, too, but then I saw this video with almost exactly the same pictures in it and I was sure I was on to something. I'll check out that site you sent as soon as I can get a break from answering my email.
In the meantime, I've received another email from the mystery man - or
rather, I got a whole pack of them. They're too long to copy and paste here, but I've posted them all at www.mysterytown.com (pardon the shameless self-promotion). If you can help me crack it, or if you know anyone who's into breaking ciphers and puzzles, I could use the help there.
Many thanks,
-Peter

his website has some new cryptic paragraphs sent from walkerinthewoods:
Quote:
• The weak of heart dare not. Are you weak of heart Mr. Peter? Secrets abound. Very old secrets. Have you the tenacity? The curiosity? The heart? I believe you do. Seek it, Mr. Peter. Do not lose heart and in your quest, never - ever - waiver.
• Found one unusual rumor which includes an interest in film documentation. These people are not interested in the nature of the area or the newer developments being sourced and planned. Their interest lies in an otherwise legendary direction.
• Of new examples there are many, but few that I can give you in this manner. But if you search - truly search - Peter, you will experience meaning in this place. Meaning beyond Batsto or Atsion. Go - learn. An unfound realm awaits.
• Finally invoking Virtues equips even those who are struggling most in their faith with miracles, encouragement and blessings. The Virtues are the bestowers of valor and courage Peter, talk to them. For this journey you will require all of the courage The Shining Ones can afford you. This place of which I reference Peter, you must seek earnestly. Carefully research, end the supposition.
• The heart reveals expectations, esteem, endearments, and finally exhaustion. Exhale Peter. Enjoy this journey. For it is a journey, and one that will take you to places before unforeseen. And Peter, I hope you never abrogate meaningful endings.
hmm?

[WEBSITE] mysterytown.com [PUZZLE] walkerofthewoods texts Looking initially at the mysterytown paragraphs sent by a "walkerofthewoods", they read a bit corny, a bit rubbish
However! this was because they were holding a code - ther appears theres a puzzle there.
Heres the main thread discussing youtube and discovery of mysterytown
I've typed the first letter of each word:
Quote:
twohdnaywohmpsavoshytttcthibydsimpdnlhaiyqnew
fourwiaiifdtpaniitnotaotndbsaptiliaold
onetambfticgyitmbiystspywemitpmbboaglaura
fiveetwasmitfwmeabtvatbovacptttftjywraotctsocaytpowirpymsecrets
threeeafeepetjfiiajaotwtytpbuapihyname
two four one five three ?
(there was also that "zero zero zero zero four" on chasing video
)
also, at the end of the string reads "new old aglaura secrets name"
[edited to correct WOTW's name - kona]

Re: [puzzle] mysterytown.com walkerinthewoods texts If you put them in order by number you get "aglaura new name old secrets"

Enaxor wrote what I thought.
"Aglaura; new name old secrets." must mean Ong's Hat had some secrets (Jersey Devil ones?) that survived the renaming. Now all we have to do it figgure out what the secrets are

So are the centers of the "sentences" relevant? I've tried ROT-ing them and using the method from the email above; nothing so far. Or was this just to point us to the fact that Aglaura is hiding something?

One of the other towns he has on his site is Asbury Park, this isnt linked in any way to our Ash Bury Park?
He mentions carnival buildings and such.

Nice thought, however, our amusement park is Ashgrove Park.
There really is an Asbury Park, NJ , a "Seaside Ghost Town trying to Rise Again". It's on the Jersey shore.

Update - June 25 Peter updated his Unsolved Mysteries page with another email from Mr Woods. You'll find it in the [PUZZLE] section where it can hopefully be solved.

I believe the solve is:

I just noticed the '5 hours ago' on the June 25th update.... made me wonder.... is this significant? is Woods Walker in a time zone that is 5 hours earlier than Peter? If so, it turns out that places him in Hawaii. All of the forwarded emails were on 6/21 and Peter's post was 6/25.... I suppose he could have just been saying that he received them on 6/25 5 hours before he posted them.... but why mention that? things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.....

I think it is probably a direct copy from his email. That would reflect the time of the receiving of the mail compared to the time of reading it.
So if I post this at 7a my time. Then you come along and read it at noon PST, it will say "Posted at 7:00a (5 hours ago)."
But I'm not always right. Interesting observation - is there another example?

nope that's the thing.... the prior emails from Walker he just posted the 'meat' and the forwarded ones have the standard format, to, from, date, time... I guess 'time will tell'
