Macavity: I tried it [the company charter puzzle] a couple of times and got gibberish, and then things clicked. If you post (in a spoiler) the steps you're taking and the answers you're getting in each, I can give you more specific help without giving the whole puzzle away.
EDIT: I'll be out of town Fri-Sun. So the offer must be deferred. Enjoy, all.

Keyboard puzzle I'm also having trouble with the keyboard puzzle.
I thought it might be some kind of anagram but I've had no luck with that so far.

Alas. Crickets. Lots and lots of crickets.
Still hoping for a nudge, or even a hint, on the keyboard puzzle.
Not so desperate I'd take a spoiler, but I'm coming derned close...

Regarding the Keyboard puzzle...
Thank you, Anagram Server . Thank you.
Not to hint too badly, but...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The incorrectly placed letters and the letters they replace are important. Note: And. Not or.

Bah. Stubbornness and the Internet, my friend. The keys to some of these puzzles... Tools are wonderful things.
Besides, consider it my way of apologizing for not giving you a head's up in the SC forums...

PS: By the by, axissally, for what it's worth, you're not alone...

dreddy, as for the calendar with the black mark...
1.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What day of the week is black?
2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's not just any black Thursday.
3.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Google on "Black Thursday".
4.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You're probably used to leaving out spaces and punctuation in the other puzzles, but this one wants a date in the form mm/dd/yyyy, which might throw non-US solvers.

I ran into one that seems easy, but hasn't cracked yet.
"I'll make this easy on you.
This typewriter is a ball.
What year was it first produced?"
Here's what I've tried:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
My first thought was the IBM Selectric, which used a print ball.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wikipedia et al say that it came out in 1961.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've tried '1961', 'nineteensixtyone', 'nineteensixty-one', 'selectric1961', 'ibmselectric1961', and my personal favorite, 'l96l' (replacing the ones with lowercase L's as one had to with older typewriters). And then 'i96i' (same idea). No luck.
Any suggestions?
EDIT (17 July, 15:37 PDT): Also tried
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'ambigram' (thanks Tesseract!) and 'MCMLXI' in both uppercase and lower. Still no luck.

everything I can see ties in with you've got, but something in the first line makes me think they're after something else.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Incidentally 1961 is a
palindrome
sorry it's not it's a tangram
damn time for bed I meant ambigram have you tried that?
