Of Zabbar
Of medical record librarians
I am certain it's an anagram of a hymn but I can't figure out which one yet.
I was stuck on this one for a few hours. It isn't a hymn but still has a religious theme.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is one answer for each line that should give you the final answer
Bigger hint

You are looking for names. If you look up Zabbar in Wiki you should get the idea.

Got 86% now and a new message
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I fear it is happening again. The greed and the fire. Tell them all, tell them all to find new places, new lives to lead. They won't listen to me, but they may listen to you.

I asked Samuel about the "dread heat", and I finally got a reply.
Quote:
Me: What exactly is "dread heat", and how will it help Madame Z?
Samuel: Fire. I was talking about fire. The flames that I wish I could forget. Can't you feel it, all around? It is the fire of greed, and it's going to come again. How do I stop it? How do I tell them all to go away? I fear that detective has started something terrible.
So, "Z needs dread heat" is really "Z needs to dread heat". Makes much more sense now...I'm sorry I had to waste a question on that.

Just got my reply
Quote:
What can you tell me about the fire at the church?
I can tell you that I was there when the fire started, and there was nothing I could do. The fire would burn, no matter what I said. The fire would burn down the town, or the fire would burn men's hearts. Would it be better for their bodies or their souls to burn?
I was frozen, unable to speak, unable to make a decision. The silence was my decision, and it continues to be my mission. I am trying to protect them all, though most of the other spirits are already soaked in the kerosene of greed. All it takes is one little match… Tell them to leave, tell them all to leave before it is too late.
So it looks like the fire was arson. I don't think that Samuel started it but i think he knows who did and is covering for them maybe.

Do you think that maybe the greed/fire that Samuel is talking about has to do with the search for Wylie's riches? Wylie died in 1906 and that is when his church caught fire as well. Based on my response from Stanley, it seems like Madame Z is in desperate need of money and Jack is a bit money hungry/seeking as well.

Interesting!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why are you still here? What do you have to atone for?
I am here because I made a promise, that I would try to stop it all from happening again. There's a mystery in this town, but if becomes more than a mystery, if it becomes truth, the fire will come again. They should all leave this house, leave this town, and leave me to my lonely vigil.

100%

I've been thinking about the living. That is all I think about: the living. Madame Z is broken but not defeated. Emma is bitter and hateful. Jack reminds me of one of my flock, not looking for the spirit, but looking for gold. Anton is shrouded in darkness, but he may one day find his way into the light.

Hi,
Has anyone else had
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the statue of Jesus Christ with the html code next to it.
The code translates to Jesuswept - which is not the answer!
I have found that the picture is of a statue from the shrine at Holy Hill (near Wisonsin).
I have tried various answers which might be related, but no luck - if any one has done this one could you give me a hint please.
Thank you
Archimedea

Right, got up to 60% with Buckwell, and I've asked him this question:
Quote:
Some of my fellow agents have told me that you believe something disastrous may occur. Is there anything we can do to help avert the coming events, or is it too late to stop what's been set in motion?

Here is my question and response from Samuel
Question
Quote:
I noticed that ES Wylie's obituary said that you found him. Do you know anything more about the odd contents to his will or the two sons and a daughter that he supposedly had but were not mentioned?
Answer
Quote:
I can tell you nothing about the will.
Mr. Wylie felt that his sons and daughter had caught the same disease of greed that the rest of the town did. He refused to reward them for their callous and greedy ways. They left Bay Horse in disgust. I do not know what became of the Wylie children.
