New email from Keith...

Quote:

Starting to Talk

I guess I owe you all an explanation, at least a partial one, especially after what I've asked you to help me with and gotten you involved in. I really wish I knew exactly what that was but I honestly don't, but I can assure you that it isn't freakin' good. And I'm sorry for asking you to get involved in, but I had my back to the wall, with no other options left.

I have to be careful though, about what and how much I say. I don't know how much everyone back there knows about what happened yet, and how they might interpret anything I say. It's kind of like what I'm doing with what I'm carrying around. I'm thinking that by only taking one with me at a time, and leaving the others stashed somewhere else, it gives me some security, some bargaining power, in case whoever's meeting me isn't what they claim to be. Somebody wants these things, badly, and went to a lot of trouble to put them out there where I found them. In that same damn pattern too, of all things.

I'm feeling worse and worse about Brad. Yeah, he was an ass, tried to jack me for money and all, but damn, what they did. I think I heard everyone freaking bone in his neck snap, even though I was twenty or thirty yards away and behind him, at least. I never was good with judging shit like that, so who knows. I was close enough to see the shock in his eyes as his head spun around to face me though. It takes some goddamn mutant like strength to do something like that, I mean, snap and it was done. I see and hear it every time I close my eyes and try to sleep.

But, like I said, they were looking for what was buried there, before I stumbled upon it. It had already been uncovered and I found out why when I heard someone coming through the Pines as I was looking at it. I just had time to garb the whole box and hide not too far away before Brad came trucking through the woods, with those three guys in tow. They were as pissed as Brad was surprised when they saw the empty hole, and I guess they thought he was pretty much useless after that.

So anyway, until I figure out what the Hell is going on, and why these things are so important, I'm playing it very careful. I suggest you do the same thing.

I'm not sure how much more I should tell you all right now, but there's a lot more to spill. Little by little, though. I put a couple other things in the packages I handed over yesterday, parts of what I still have to tell. The paper things I made; the other two things were in the hole when I found it. The first hole.

I'll be in touch. Watch your back.

KM

Do we have a last name for him already? Keith M...

It's Keith McCoy. From http://www.aglauranj.org/news/7-6-06.php:
Quote:
Aglaura Police Hunt Suspect

Aglaura police chief Dawn Prufrock announced in a written statement that the police department is searching for a "person of interest" in a recent missing persons case. Although not officially classified as a suspect in the disappearance, Keith McCoy, a white male in his mid-to-late 40s and a former employee of Great Water General, was purportedly last seen with Brad Wheeler, an Aglaura teenager who recently went missing.

Is it possible the "new" 307 image is nothing more than a map to the locations of the buried masks and has nothing to do with the Aglaura map?

Yeah, sounds like they were all in one place when Keith found them. In any event, Keith it sounds like Keith has the remaining masks.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping my name is on the short list.

He only talks about one hole BUT there are six red X's on the 3o7 picture.... perhaps it was the last one he found when Brad was killed?

Prufrock further went on to discuss the incident last week in the woods near the Aglaura public park...

so back to flipping the 3o7 if someone could 'work their magic' again.... arrow pointing down, 7 on left 3 on right, still located on 'new construction'.... then one of the dots with a red X, the one with the 'extra' dot beyond it lands right on Diana's Grove park.... five others on the Marzano Industrial Park area and the last of the 7 at Greatwater General.... the 3 then land in the Cranberry Bogs and Woods..... hmmmmmmm

he does say:

The first hole.

to me that implies there is more than one hole? i'm leaning towards 6 masks buried separately with the 6 locations in the 307 pattern...

I'm wondering if there might be some other starting point or reference point I need to be looking for.

So I'm more convinced then ever we either need to use the park incident flip of my last post as a 'reference point' (my first choice) or we need to have a different 'starting point' which obviously the likely place is the library.... so one of you with the skills to play with the picture wanta jump in? And if those special someones with the print shop skills, would please, try this, too.... What would the overlay look like if the cross-hairs were lined up with the streets of Aglaura Drive and Rt. 72/ Main St.? Thank you. Smile

I tried implementing some of your ideas for the map. There's quite a bunch here so far. I don't feel right about the ones that let any of the circles fall outside the map.

If you want to try any other variations, just let me know. I can do this sort of stuff pretty quickly.

Neat.
Instead of worrying about matching the 3 dots with the Marzano construction, try making the entire circumfrence of the 307 symbol a little bit smaller so the marked dots land on something recognizable (not the bogs)? With both the Library and the new construction as the central point but the buried spots are not so far out of town?

What orientation of the 307 symbol do you think we should be concentrating on? The 'arrow up' as Keith gave Pixie or 'arrow down' that he has on his website? Did Dale ever have a directional arrow on any of his 307 images?

The symbol always has the three on the left and seven on the right, so I figure we should stick with that, but I can still flop the image to change the arrow direction.

Seeing how the 307 key and the map are both physical objects, printed or drawn out on paper, I would say treat them as such. Only rotate the key instead of flipping it around, because if the sheet of paper it was written on was flipped to get that, it would be really hard to draw the image, seeing how that image would be on the side next to the map.

Also, since the map is physical as well, IT can be rotated around, causing the finished image to have the 307 symbol with three dots on the left, seven on the right.

Maybe the red line in the 307 key is a North/South line?
