[trailhead?] GOT YOUR DOG

I just got an email in my inbox!

Norma Panaro wrote:

Hello there,
I am Norma Panaro. My dog, Kuji, has been kidnapped, he was in the front garden earlier today, when I saw a white van pull up at the end of the path. I saw the man who took my dog out of the window, he was wearing black and had a balaclava over his face. I did not get the van registration.
I have been reccommended to you by a good friend of mine. She said that you are a good pet detective who belongs to a well-known pet detective firm. I hope you can do something, my poor Kuji must be terrified.
I recieved an email from the captor(s) earlier today. Here is what it reads:

------------------------------------------------------
From: gotyourdogSPLATgooglemail.com
To: norma.panaroSPLATgooglemail.com
Subject: Got your dog!
------------------------------------------------------
I have your dog. You will see him again if you do as I say. Do not tell the police otherwise I will kill the dog. I hope you will play along. Your dog is safe if you do everything I say. You will hear from me shortly.
-------------------

Please respond soon,
Norma Panaro.

Being very concerned about dog safety, I naturally responded quickly:

Quote:
Dear Norma Panaro,

Thank you for contacting me. Normally, I am very busy with pet
detection cases. However, you caught me at a good time! I will look
into the matter as thoroughly as I can, and with all luck, we should
have Kuji back in no time. Please let me know if you have any further
information, and let me know if the captors contact you any more.

--Detective A. Ventura

Has anyone else gotten this yet?

Whoops!

Well, I guess that makes it semi-official, then!

EDIT: Whoa, I got a reply!

I will let you know as soon as I hear anything more. Thank you for replying so quickly. I am praying for Kuji's safe return.

One small problem with that - unless there's a transcription error, the first letters of each line are SPHPIGT.

I'm not coming up with the answer, but the riddle sounds school-related:

"Saved by the Bell" - TV show reference about a high school

"Give me credit for that" you get college credit, school credit, etc...

"Hold, Hook Press, Lift" Gym class? Wrestling?

"Plant and Animal" Dunno on this one.

Any colleges or high schools who have a plant and an animal in their names?

Or something to do with a wrestling / gym mascot?

One thing that should be mentioned if it is indeed some sort of word grid puzzle: the "that" in "give me credit for that" should be on the same line ... it is in the source code, in any case.

(meaning, they didn't purposefully put "that" on the line below)

"Saved by the bell" started out as a boxing reference, didn't it?

The only collegiate thing that "plant and animal" makes me think of might be one of the A&M universities? Prarie View A&M's mascot is the Panthers ... Florida A&M is the Rattlers ... Alabama A&M is the Bulldog.
