I too have finished Saint Marie and am waiting for tomorrow's email to continue on. But did anyone make any sense out of that extra number 7 down at the bottom of the screen on the fallen tree? There were no shapes near it that I could tell, and you didn't need it to solve the puzzle. Any ideas? There were also 7 hash marks at the top of the ladder on the previous island.

ohhh yea and also did any one else notice the infinity symbol on one of the barrels in madera? I did and found it curious?

Regarding scratched numbers:

I found a 5 at Madeira and a 7 at St Helena. Nothing at Bermuda, or St Mary. There was a direction in the Tropics, and found so S on Helena. Anyone else have the same or more?

Those numbers might be very useful later on in the game and could you be more specific where the numbers are in madeira. I know where the ones are in st. Helena.

lol, I tend to agree with you about overcomplicating the puzzles, the 7 on the ladder puzzle had me confused as all get out, I was tryin to devide the rungs by 7 and all sorts of stuff but who knows mabe later..... and yea peices of eight would be a good referance but i dont know? and a lazy 8 im not too sure of, being a pilot myself it dosnt seem to work. But again who knows mabe its like the game MYST where the makers/artists just put some easter eggs in for themselves Smile
