I hate to mention the "port royal" pics - if they are in fact real - but it could be that figuring out how to get to the door with the key is the first puzzle then unlocking the chest will be the second. Just a thought based purely on whether or not those are offical pics. The final puzzle is definitely figuring out the final destination since that's the piece that has to be sent to volvo in whatever way specified to become a finalist.

I am talking about what it specifically says on the Hunt website.....go to the place where it is telling you about the hunt, and how to hunt. It states right there that the semi-final will consist of two puzzles, and it is the LAST puzzle that they will take the first three winners from and INVITE them to the finals.

That would leave the final as the 15th puzzle.

I seriously want to hear thoughts on the two puzzle factor, especially in light of the newest "fake" sneak pic out there!

Seriously - we've had twin puzzles from one email clue before. Sargasso Sea + Bermuda was the first example. The ladder and tree-carvings was another.

On the double puzzle theory, referring to posts elsewhere on this board about our extra numbers, there are eight REALLY solid and generally agreed upon extra letters/numbers.

Two of them come from a "double" puzzle, and both are the number 7. Is your head spinning yet? Sneaking in an edit here, in light of the revelation that the Pirate Blog's pics were fakes....Aye yi yi.....any guesses as to WHAT location will come before the final one?

IF Jamaica is the final destination, then it's likely that the last two puzzles will feature locations on the island. Still, I guess we'll all find out in a few hours or so.

So what you're saying is that the 7 may or not be two 7's but could simply be Volvo's way of reinforcing the subliminal message. In which case, there are now three additional numbers to find.

Yes - not trying to embarras anyone. I actually thought that was a far-off shot of you still... Wink

It could be, as has been mentioned before, that the extra coords were to throw you off.

One theory I have is that you'll be prompted with riddles suggesting 'what was the number found <here>' and so on, so that those that didn't keep track of them would have to revisit those locations.
