[spec][trout] something going on at sublymonal

I apologize if this is trout, I checked any likely threads and found nothing about this. Some of the people on Rachel's blog seemed to have just made a discovery. If you type Rachel Blake into sublymonal.com it gives you some wierd numbers. If you feed those numbers back in you get a really long equation. I don't know if any of those bloggers post here, so I'd hate to steal their thunder but we need to be working on this.

edit: I'm just going to combine all my previous edits. It appears that only the first word before a space is read so typing in Rachel gives you the same thing as Rachel Blake and thus far typing almost any number string gives you an equation although not all the equations appear to be the same.

The numbers you get when typing in rachel are:
1512
1464
1495
1461
1580

(while it's not specifically "trout", i wanted to add a topic tag which lets people know that there is NOT something going on at sublymonal that needs their attention ingame -- catherwood)

Whatever random words you type into Sublymonal, you get an extract from wikipedia. When that extract contains odd, unprintable characters (e.g. greek text), you get strange numbers and text. That's all that is happening here.

Remember, almost everything that has been found in this game over the last ten weeks has been broadcast and flagged for all to see. When there's something to be found, they tell us. If someone claims to have made an amazing discovery - it's probably nothing.

Sorry for the scepticism.

Oli

no your right, I typed in Rachel into Wikipedia and thats definitely where it is from. Yeah I guess there just isn't much digging to do in this game. I keep hoping with Rachle apparently gone something is about to blow open so I guess I jumped at nothing.
