codes and maps I entered this game because I like games. And this one was addictive!!
I now see that many things were over thought.
I also know that I am too old and fat to trapse around a sandy place and dig for a car. The flight and stay in such a place sounds divine. Need another vacation right now.
Now this may be really OVERSIMPLIFICATION !!!
Does ANYONE think or notice that on most of our maps FROM THE VOLVO DEALERSHIPS have an eight character identification.

Very nice to see the collaboration here in the forums. Some bright and generous folks have made this worth while for me. Despite not being eligible for the prize because of my affiliation with Volvo NA, I've enjoyed the forum's collective chase and would hope to see another gathering of this sort in the near future where I could actually play for the loot. From what I understand, somewhere on the triple W exists various postings of the correct answer. In what order those people's submission made it to the server is unknown. I hope it falls with one of you.
Cheers!

triple w = www = world wide web
All he really said is that someone posted the right answer somewhere. That doesn't mean we can verify the right answer when we see it...yet.

End Game Where is it buried? Do you want to know? Really ???
Isn't it obvious to you already? It's buried at Castaway Cay of course. A small island formerly known as Gorday Cay in the Bahamas. This place is seven miles away from "Somewhere," our last stop on this hunt. If you look up the coordinates 2558N7713W on Google Earth, you'll see this last stop was in Little Abaco, Bahamas. If you move your cursor seven miles east of there, you'll end up at Castaway Cay, coordinates 2605N7732W. I'm really envious of the finalists. Forget about the car! Just a trip to Castaway Cay is prize enough for me!

Little Abaco vs. Castaway This is all tying together now. Get final instructions at the spot on "Somewhere" AKA Little Abaco Island. As the rules state, there is a one hour delay until the official start of the hunt. Enough time to get the seven finalists over to Castaway Cay, where everything is set up to film the madness. I would love to see this, hopefully it will be shown on the Disney Channel.
Finally someone has a logical tie in to the "ssssssst" clue, seven miles ea-ssssssst to serenity from Little Abaco to Castaway Cay.

Castaway Cay Did I say Castaway Cay is 7 miles east of Little Abaco?? Sorry! I meant it is 7 miles west of Little Abaco (or if you prefer, Little Abaco is 7 miles east of Castaway Cay). Either way, the XC90 is definitely there. Trust me!

Maybe it's significant that finalists are not allowed to smoke anywhere on the island - listening to the clue 'a cursed island' the words are spoken more like 'curssst'
think about it - 'curssst abacco'

http://thehunt.volvocars.net/us/mapxml.htm?xmlonly=true
