I remember there was one shipment of Magic: The Gathering cards that was poorly sorted, with the result being that rarities were significantly different between Australia and the US.

But in all my various time with randomly sorted trading cards, I've never heard of anything where three packs, two from the same store, have contained the same cards.

In fact, I'm going to open another one right now and see what's in there...

Just looked, if these are the pre-release wave 0.5 cards then there was a randomisation issue with those, many people reported getting the same order in packs, I wouldn't worry about it, it has MOSTLY been sorted now.

Oh yeah, the packs can be similar or identical. My last pile (wave 4 only so less variety available anyway, esp. given the basic rule of generally one each of six colors but not always), I decided the cards were travelling in pairs. If one was there, so was the other. Often one of the other pairs in the pack would be the same as the first pack, and then low odds on getting a third pair the same, although I did get a couple.
