[quote="ALISDAIRPARK"]okies a stronger clue:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
fill in the rest of the alphabet
and if you're still struggling:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
write the alphabet in a block on the picture, the lines will then point to the correct letters for the answers
are you taking about this one?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
what do you mean by fill in the rest of the alphabet? the whole alphabet is already there

it's not that one the clues are for, but to me that looks like a
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
tangram although those usually have 7 pieces
and I don't get the relevance of the alphabet, I'll have a think though.
EDIT:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you cut out and fold alternating up and down along the lines it gives you mb, qw, wp, or dm
don't know if that help us at all though
EDIT2: could it be a say what you see puzzle?
The clues I gave were for another puzzle, I can't post it as I'm at work, but it's got some letters and grey lines.

There are 3 puzzles i am having trouble with.
I have no idea about Mr Emersons "meeting of three roads".
Also i don't know where to start on this on from Samuel.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Actualize within myself an antiseptic center, great Maker, and stimulate an appropriate mettle in my being.
The third one looks easy but my answer is wrong so i am making a mistake somewhere.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The answer looks like it should be Jesus wept
Anyone want to give me a hint?

I haven't seen any of those, so feel free to post.
The second
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
sounds like a bible quote re-worded, something like "Give me a good heart, wonderful God, and create a strength in my soul" get the right words and find the bible passage, or name of the prayer
.
EDIT: Yup,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me

tallerbird, re the puzzle illustrated by the statue of Jesus:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The text you found is correct. It is the shortest verse in the Bible.
Also,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But what verse is it? (Spaces and punctuation are forbidden.)

Re the Vigenere cypher:
1.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Everything you need is provided within the puzzle
2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The numbers at the bottom are just a=1, b=2, etc.
3.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But that 21-letter string is the key, not the cyphertext.
4.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Consider the Magritte painting with the words, "Ceci n'est pas un pipe."
5.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If something says it is a Vigenere cypher, it probably is.
6.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The cyphertext is the phrase, "THIS IS A VIGENERE CYPHER"

Damn you, I'd worked out most of the above, and must have tried every other combination than that one!

Hope I didn't give offense, Tesseract.
Incidentally, I just now figured out what we're calling the tangram/origami puzzles. Here are some nudges:
1.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They aren't tangrams.
2.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They aren't origami.
3.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Further, the part below the alphabet shouldn't be cut out, folded, or transformed in any other way.
4.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Its position relative to the alphabet above is important.
5.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If these hints don't cause you to descend into madness, I haven't been doing my job right.

of course not, that was directed at myself for not having tried that variation - and even worse sin asking for help! lol
Thanks the clues above got that one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are too many lines..in fact the lines are no help at all
P>S> Could someone post a new puzzle? I've got none to work on now

More "origami/tangram" hints (start with my 5 above and Tesseract's 6th one):
7.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lines that WOULD be useful are vertical lines extending upward from the intersections of the lines.
8.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But what goes up must come down.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ok, so i connected all the points to the letters and got "aceghiorrsst" which is an anagram for "scarier ghost" but that is not the correct answer
