The person or people responsible for this horrific and cowardly act will be brought to justice, I promise you.

As hard as it may be to believe while our pain is still so fresh, things truly could have been worse. We are extremely grateful that the modern fire detection and suppression systems in our new municipal building prevented any major damage from occurring there. It certainly would have been much more difficult to deal with this entire incident without the new facility to operate out of.

I also want to take this opportunity to address the wild rumors that are swirling around the fire investigations, and to encourage everyone in Aglaura to exercise restraint in repeating or believing any of these rumors. They do no one any good at all, so please, can we all just wait for the investigators to do their jobs and provide us all the answers we so desperately want?

For the very first time since she passed, I am glad that my Mother isn't here to see what has happened to our town and her precious Library.
