Oh, I do like that everyone thinks it's in Oxford.
I can offer duckiemonster retrieval and delivery services for just 50% of the prize fund, to be paid in a cheque made out to the 'Student Loans Company Ltd'.
Well, it's nice to dream.

Oxford? Nah, it's in Iceland. Trendy, English-speaking, high literacy rates, near-permanant daylight at this time of year to make hunting easier, not many people living there to accidentally stumble on it, not many players there to get a head-start on everyone else, and equally accessible / inaccessible from both sides of the Atlantic. Perfect.

I said weeks ago that I wanted it to be in Iceland so I could go for another holiday.
Being buried somewhere in Turkey (Istanbul or in Cappadocia for preference) would also be handy, especially if the location is discovered sometime in early October, so I could pick it up whilst on my hols.
Failing that, I like the idea that it's in Oxford - just a short train ride away

There's some sort of terrible 'ice cube' gag lurking on the edge of my consciousness, but I dare not go looking for it.
Also, I'm damned if I'm going to go poking around all those glaciers, lava flows and/or geysers for the cube.

I'm sure you know that Iceland's the green one right, and greenlands the icy one?
Just checking.

I was in Iceland last month. I didn't spot a single black helicopter. Damon Albarn and Bjork were also conspicuous by their absence. A connection? With a glacier as big as Yorkshire there's plenty of places to hide.
I did meet a fascist on the Runtur (pale imitation of Barnsley on a Friday night). After not managing to pick a fight with me over the Jews, he turned on why we liked wales so much. I said some of my best friends are from Cardiff. He didn't mean that wales.

I sense a "Mum's gone to Iceland" gag on the horizon.

:)
reminds me of a misunderstanding when i was about to meet my girlfriend's mother for the first time. i was informed that she could 'talk for wales' - i.e., she talks a LOT and is from wales - but all i imagined was that i'd say 'hello, nice to meet you' and she'd go 'ooOOOOoooOAAAAAAAAaarrRRrrrrrrOOOOoooohhHhhHHhooOO'

I'm hoping it's here in Edinburgh - I really really doubt it's here, but one can hope!

I'm hoping it's stuck somewhere in the rocky mountains. Or In the praries. We could see it from miles away!

I was thinking that it may be a good idea to mount a raid on Mind Candy offices while half the team are in the US...
