I do. As, I would suspect, do plenty of other people.

Next.

Anyone at gencon who could get a spare for me? Wink
Eep hrm .. did I miss something, or did poozle? Are there going to be more cards at gencon? I may actually have at getting one fFrom there, eh. I don't see any other mention of gencon, tho, so maybe it's a case of mis-information.

Perplex magazine never got past Issue 0 either, if I recall. At least, I've never seen an Issue 1 (or more).

Looks to be a serious Seaside Press fan (or editor Razz)

For educational purposes:

Quote:
Running the Maze by Rachel Burton

Ever since it opened, the Mimasan Maze has been a Perplex City landmark. A playground for adults, the Maze contains over 25km of paths, tunnels, and twisty passages, running above and below ground in a precise arrangement of junctions, stairs and ladders. Over the years, the Maze has undergone hundreds of changes, including the now legendary Radtke and O'Hare variations, leaving less than a hundred people able to say they have successfully completed it.

In her latest book, Rachel Burton discusses the history and future of the famous maze. Fully illustrated throughout, the book contains complete maps of over twenty variations of the maze, as well as advice on how to tackle the upcoming anniversary celebration, when the Maze will be temporarily doubled in size.

Born in 245, Rachel Burton has written twelve books examining famous Perplexian structures, from Ascendancy Point to the Academy campus. Her next book on the Centric Artificial Rainforest is due for release early next year.

Reason Not the Need - Estelle Mechant's highly-anticipated analysis of the effects of Earth literature on Perplexian works.

Quote:
The Key to His Heart - In the latest outing of Colin Tideyman's well-loved sleuth, Professor Bernard Kaffir, Bernard is called to the home of an old friend who has been conducting a key-based love affair. But when his friend is found dead, Bernard must follow the tangled web of technology to discover who might have had a motive for murder!

This sounds a lot like what is happening in the card.

It's a light greyish border with snowflajes on it, but not metallic.

there are 3 other books but they are blocked by the chair.

The left most book blocked by the chair is most likely:

"League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" by Alan Moore

Then

"To the...?" by Brian ...?
"The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller (maybe)

Just had a conversation on IRC as follows:

Quote:

<Jamie> Afternoon...Re: Your post on The ComicCon Promo card, I'd suggest that "The Dark...?" by F is almost certainly "The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_The_Dark_Knight_Returns - based primarily on the card's author being Paul McCormick [...] utterly overexcited and fanboyish about the fact that he got to design a card that "OMGZORZ Went! To! ComicCon!".

Incidentally, unless they've had two print runs on this, the value on the card is 10, not 13. the original scan is just a little unclear.

I think that the second right book is 'T: the...' not 'To the', by 'Brian K...'
