When I was digging around on Bermuda (before I found the wine), I found something that looks like a pottery piece. It could be that if you found that piece before you got to the Tropic of Cancer, then all the pieces would be there. If you didn't find it ... well, you are going to have to guess what the missing digit is (because I got confused, I started over and did not find the plate piece the second time (didn't think it was worth it) ... so I had to guess the coordinates).

Someone can correct me if I'm incorrect, but you can't help but dig up the pottery piece before digging up the bottle of wine. It seemed to me that you dig something up, and then the flash lets you dig something else up, then the flash lets you dig something else up, in a specific order. You couldn't just find the bottle of wine on your first dig.
EDIT: I stand corrected. You can find the bottle of wine before the pottery piece. However, I stand by the fact that you don't need the pottery piece from the beach when you get to the middle of the ocean.

Tropic of Cancer

I'm stuck again trying to figure out the combination of co-ordinates. Obviously you can only get 3/4 of the plate before the back button dissapears so have to work out the rest of the plate and co-ordinates, but it's hard.

Anyone have any ideas on how to work this out?

Three things:
    It's a full plate
There's no way to go "back" once you have all the shards
And, finally, the plate fits together very specifically which gives the coordinates clearly

Ok I think I found all the broken pieces of pottery, found the hint -collect-entered that in the solution but don't see the correlation with the pottery. I tried entering a longitude & latitude from the pottery (into the next dest.) but got it wrong, then I lost all my broken pottery. I'll be damned if I am going hunting for all those pieces again! I got seasick last time! Come on someone give me the coordinates from the pottery, please!

Hints for finding the pottery, so you don't get seasick:

Think of the section as a 3 by 4 grid

I believe you start where I've got the O. You can tell when you've reached a corner, cause you can only go in 2 directions, where you can from and 1 other direction.
Start in one corner, go up(or down), then try the middle column then the last column. It took me 5 minutes to find my last piece, but i didn't give up. Remember, when assembling the pieces, that the format is 1234X5678Y where X is N or S, and Y is E or W.

ok i finally got all the broken pieces and found the coordinates-on to St. Helena. What was the purpose of entering the 'collect' solution?

If you are missing only one digit to your co-ordinates, please remember that the N/S numbers can go only up to 90 degrees or 59 minutes, and the E/W numbers can normally go up to 180 degrees or 59 minutes.

Anyway, after assembling the plate, I used trial and eror to get my last digit. It didn't take long Wink

Bermuda

Yes, you will make a side trip to Bermuda...but you will not stay long.
This game, so far, seems to involve a lot of clicking.

Yes, clicking and WAITING! I can't wait for tomorrow morning for the next e-mail. If the total number of puzzles is 15, and we have already solved 4, then I assume 2 more e-mails after tomorrow, with 4 puzzles each. One e-mail a week until July? We will have to wait and see...

Driven.

The pottery pieces are moveable. Put the dish together like a jigsaw puzzle and the coordinates are plain as day.

bob, when you find all the shards, does it make a complete dish? when I get about 3/4 of the dish I lose my 'back' button so I figured that was it. the dish doesn't go together like a puzzle so I tried to work with what I had

Yes if you find all of the pieces the dish should be complete. And the coordinates are marked for your next destination.

You will know you have all the pieces when you can no longer go back.. and search for more. If you still have a piece missing, its probably under one of the bigger pieces.

Hope you all catch up with us! Hopefully midnight we can start on part 2, Its been fun so far!

Bob

Anyone got a hint on the rest?

So I just got here in the nick of time, I stopped by my volvo dealer today...anyway, that last peice of pottery is a biggie...but one thing I noticed, when you collect a peice of pottery, you start back at the last ocean block you were in...and there is a set path to finding the pottery quickly.

Okay I'm stuck in bermuda, I've dug up about 5 holes, 3 empty, one with the bottle and one with the shard. I figured the wine's roman number has something to do with it but I don't get the rest. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help. I just want to move on already.

There's something else in that crate with the bottle. Trying doing something with that...

I Need Your Help...

OK, I don't stand a chance, I realize that, but I had hoped to get past the second "clue".
So far I have: got a map from my Volvo dealer, entered code, rolled the dice, got to twelve and entered the next clue on the card.
What happened next was this - a different map, this one an old styalized world map appeared, and a voice spoke about some stuff, and I am told to "FIND BERMUDA ON THE MAP".

Which map? The "Hunt" map? Do I use the "tools"? WTF?

BTW, after digging about the web, this is the only discussion board I could find about this game!?!?
