Wow there kinda dark I can't really make out the text.
EDIT: Oh and I am pretty sure the one leaf is written Arabic or Farsic or whatever.
Edit again: Maybe these are exerpts from religious texts?

I think many of us thought it was sanscrit before... but again, since i can't get to the full leaves in some places - it can't be deciphered. I almost think it was not meant to be a clue, but just something interesting to add to it. under the leaves, where no one can see at all is some feathers as well. i JUST noticed them today - they have no importance i am sure.
as for them being dark, the flash ruined the images - s i had to use the no flash ones.

Yeah well it is the mask of knowledge right? So it is probably just a bunch of famous books, there may be some significance though. There has been refrences to the illiad in other aspects of CTW. I am pretty sure the one I am talking about is not Sanskrit. Sanskrit does not have the long dash like characters.

So far, the common thread is great ancient literature, and it may not have any other significance than that. It would only be a puzzle if once all the leaves are identified, it leads somewhere...right?
Pixie: You asked me in chat to post how I found them.... I searched the web for hours...and hours...and

I found the Tiger used for the tiger leaf. Its Islamic Calligraphy and the artist is Hassan Massoudi or Massoudy. The picture is called "The Tiger" and I've only been able to find it on a tee shirt. Here's the link:

i found 2 more of the leaves:
(pixie's IMG_1314) the one counterclockwise to (and behind) the Iliad leaf is the Rigveda-Samhita.
from here: http://www.nb.no/baser/schoyen/5/5.20/index.html

Quote:
The Rigveda-Samhita is the only surviving recension of the oldest ritual hymns of India. It consists of 1028 hymns, largely organised by subject/matter. It is an anthology collected from the larger number of hymns in use in the many priestly families of ancient India. The language in which hymns were composed is the form of Aryan which was spoken around 1000 BC. Modern scholars think that the corpus of texts was organised in its present textual and linguistic form around 600 BC, but was further orally transmitted from master to pupil until ca. 300-200 BC, when it was finally committed to writing. The Vedas (knowledge ) is regarded as the source of Hinduism, directly heard at the beginning of the world-cycle by rishis or inspired sages, and is still a living part of Hinduism. The archaic linguistic forms are the most valuable source for the investigation of the oldest stages of the Indo-European languages, as Homeric Greek and Hittite.
(IMG_1317) the one clockwise to (and behind) the Hassan Massoudy Tiger is from the Voynich Manuscript.

EDIT: found another one...
(IMG_1317) the japanese leaf at the one o'clock position is from The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu (i believe that particular text is from chapter 1).
