Rather than just posting the answers, it may be more appropriate to identify the method by which the answer is derived from the clue. I've also identified the clues by island, so folks can stop referring to the wrong clue and answer.

Port Royal
Email Clue: (email 1)
Roll the dice until they're twelve
Our destiny reveals itself
Method:
Roll both dice until they each show 6 on the face.
The word that the dice surround is the answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SEA

Tropic of Cancer
Hint: (email 2)
Follow the stream from shore to source
The Skull reveals the secret course
Method:
Skull card reveals hidden letters on The Hunt map
Use it on the inlet, starting at Great Lengths
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
COLLECT

Saint Helena
Email clue: (email 3)
The key ring round the biggest rock
Point west and catch the port we dock
Method:
Place the key ring over Costa's Rock on The Hunt map.
Pointing west, the key word is inside the key:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
COUNT

Isle the Saint Mary
Hint: (email 4)
The solution to this riddle might provide some insight into the mysterious marks that are carved in the trees.
Four corners framed in all that's blue
At tentacles' ends, do glue both two
Method:
Rotate the Davy Jones card 90 degrees and place each corner at the word "blue" on The Hunt map
(Blue Mountain, Blue Bay, Blue Tree, Point Blue)
While holding the mouse button down, tentacle beard points up and down to the answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ROUNDCIRCLE

Pulau Jong
Email clue: (email 5)
Where equally the winds collide
The needle is our only guide
Method:
Place the center of the compass near the center of The Hunt map, at the end of the longest inlet.
The compass needle points due east, to the answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
BATS (towards Hanging Bats)

Diomede Island
Hint: (email 6)
With first of eight fixed firmly on three
Turn all eyes 'till all sights see
Method:
Place the top left corner of the "glasses" card on 3 and rotate until "=" is in the top right corner.
Read the answer from left to right, starting with the top left corner:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3=4LINES

Isla Más a Tierras
Email clue: (email 7)
When the eyes of the Skull see X and O
They mark the place of where to go
Method:
Find the place on The Hunt map where the skull reveals an X in one eye and an O in the other
The word that is surrounded by those marks is your answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
REMAINS

Isla Más a Tierras (still)
Hint: (email 8 )
Direct your desire from every cape
Where destinies cross it takes a shape
Method:
Place the compass on each cape of The Hunt map and observe where the needle points:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
MANMADE

Cape Horn
Email clue: (email 9)
One arm embraces a pirate grave
Another tells you what you crave
Method:
Rotate the Davy Jones card 45 degrees and place southeast of the grave marked with a cross.
While holding the mouse button down, tentacle beard points up/left to grave and down/right to answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
LENGTHS

Cozumel
Email clue: (email 10)
Make seven eyes stare but pick those dice
That leave in sight the same thing twice
Method:
Roll the dice 3+4 and 4+3 and observe the two outlined words:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SERPENTKRAKEN

Isla Culebra
Email clue: (email 11)
Pick two pin's ends on top of the peak
The red stone south is the first we seek
Then turn your key into a clock
Add second letters of every rock
Method:
Place the key's ring over Crow Peak on The Hunt map, pointing due south to Red Rock.
Rotating key tines clockwise, note the second letters of the features that appear between the ends of the tines:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
sHort peak
cUrl rock
wReck tomb
bArrel stone
sCar mountain
gAte rocks
oNe stone

Port Royal
Email clue: (email 12)
All eight but one will see the same
For you to find that final name
Method:
Place the 8-eyed "glasses" card on the south-east corner of The Hunt map.
Turned 27° counter clockwise (approximately Smile ) eight letters are visible, seven are the same
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SSSSSSST

EDIT: 20060703 - Tropic of Cancer method, added Cozumel
EDIT: 20060711 - added Isla Culebra and Port Royal

Entire US game... screen captures and all

http://www.disastersurvivornetwork.com/volvo/GettingStarted.htm

Although joining the hunt was my 5 year old's idea (she really wants to go and dig up that car), I the one who ended up spending an embarrassing amount of time on this game this month (It ended up not really being a kids game. It's a good thing the kids are old enough to entertain themselves now).

During the game I had taken screen captures of the whole thing which ended up coming in really handy in the end (too bad I'm not fast enough though... I'm sure by 11pm PT there were already way more than 3 correct entries). I've consolidated them all into the above website.

Thank you all for your brilliance! I couldn't have done it without you all!

Enjoy!

My solving of the US puzzle.

Hi all and thanks for everything in solving this puzzle. It has been great fun! Here's what I did to solve the final round.....

First we had to get to "somewhere". Just use all the left-over coordinates that we all talked about a few days ago:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
2558N7713W

Then find the 2 boxes. #1 has 7 characters and a "t". Keep in mind the final keyword ssssssst.

#2 has all the triangles. Do this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take a square. Bisect it North/south, east/west in the shape of a cross. Make an "x" in each square and you will have a grid with 16 squares to put the triangles on. Look at each of the 64 squares in the box and record how m,any triangles are in each box.

Now you have the numbers but what to do with them? I got tired and went to bed. At 2 AM I woke up with this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "T". The last column! I got up. Fired up the computer and went to Somewhere. Looked at the Triangle box one more time and was greeted with not only the "T" column but also the fact that the column was in shadow. Those are the numbers that I entered. Hope they're correct.

Thanks for everything ladies and gents!!

From e_nygma

Here are some successive hints to the various puzzles so far; each hint should be a little more specific than the one previous to it. Far be it from me to tell you how to use these clues, but I would suggest that you ONLY READ WHAT YOU NEED to solve the problem you are facing. It's much more enjoyable than just reading the solution. For those who remember, yes, this is an homage to the InvisiClues of Infocom (I avoided being eaten by a grue ... frobozz).

NOTE: The game is intended for players with the most current versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Macromedia Flash. If you do not have these, the game might not work properly. Also, if you have a pop-up blocker, you might want to disable it as windows will pop up as you are playing.

FIRST CLUE (on the map given out by Volvo):
"Roll the Dice Until They're Twelve"

Hint #1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Start rolling by clicking on the dice. A bit frustrating, you say? Watch where the dice fall ... doesn't seem as random as it should be, right?

Hint #2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are only two places on the map that a six will turn up. Find both and your destiny is revealed.

"Our destiny reveals itself"

Hint #1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What do the dice reveal?

Hint #2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What do the dice bookend?

Hint #3:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Notice that the word SEA is highlighted by the two dice

Hint #4:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Grab the red Solution card (right hand of the screen, bottom card) and enter SEA as the solution. A new window will pop-up.

Find Bermuda on the Map
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, how good were you at geography in school?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Search the map for Bermuda, and click on it when you found it.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Bermuda is two longitude lines west and one latitude line north of the 'F' in "Find."

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
No, seriously that's it.

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why are you reading this hint? Are you cheating by reading the last hint only? For shame!

Sargasso Sea
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Did you listen/read the narrator's poem?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click on the bottle to move on.

Bermuda
What do I do here?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The narrator's poem isn't very helpful, is it? You are stuck on this beach.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think like a pirate for a moment. What do pirates do with their treasure?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They bury it.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Move your mouse around the beach until your cursor changes to a pointing finger.

Okay ... I'm at the close up, but nothing seems to happen and I can't go back to the beach.
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They get a bit tricksy here.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The cursor will not change on this screen.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Have you tried clicking anyway?

I dug a hole, but there's nothing there.
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click again to return to the beach.

I dug a hole, and found a bottle in a box. Now I can't do anything else! Help!!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Kind of an odd bottle, isn't it?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why is the label missing?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Is there a hidden message there? If there is, we need something to reveal it with. But what?

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Some messages are hidden with liquids like lemon juice ...

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
... or wine.

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is no hint #6 (YAY! A Monty Python reference! Okay, okay, that's the last one).

Hint #7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What happens if you click on the liquid in the lower corner of the box?

Hint #8
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click and drag the liquid onto the label to reveal the message.

Hint #9
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The message tells you the coordinates for the next stop.

Hint #10
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The coordinates you want are 3238N1653W.

Is that all the bottle is for?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
No.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Oh, come now, you don't think I'll just tell you, do you?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Sheesh, some people.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Fine. You might want to write down the wine's year.

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's the letters at the bottom of the bottle: MDXVIII

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or 1518.

I have the coordinates. Now what?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click on "NEXT DESTINATION" at the top of the window and enter them as ####A####B (where the # sign represents a digit, A represents either N or S, and B represents either E or W).

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you can't read the bottle because the window is blocking the bottle, you can click "BACK TO BERMUDA" and write the coordinates down (on paper or another text editor).

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Alternatively, you can enter the coordinates in on the URL line. Just make sure the ####A####B is the last entry on the line. Do this at your own peril; I take no responsibility if you cannot type the characters correctly. I know this works for the US site, but I have not verified it for any other country's game site.

Madeira
Uh, what do I do here? It's kind of dark.
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, what do you do normally do at a closed door?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Announce your presence to the household.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Walk up and knock.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click on the door to zoom in. When you zoom in, click on the panel (a bit off-center) to knock.

I'm in an even darker hallway. What now?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, you can't go left, right or backwards.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Click into the dark part of the hallway to go forward.

This hallway goes on FOREVER! What am I missing?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You're right. The hallway does go on forever. Well, it loops back on itself, making it seem like its infinite in length.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Perhaps you should try to investigate the casks on the left side of the screen.

Okay, I give up. What should I be looking for?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What was the year of the wine that brought you here?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You know, the bottle on Bermuda?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, you could start all over and pay closer attention ...

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or scroll up in this message to look at the hint that deals with it ...

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or you could be a stinker and read this last hint. Click on the cask that reads 1518.

What is that guy babbling about? I now know what? Why did the guy kick me out?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He's telling you a story, so you should pay attention. It is only polite.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Actually, he's telling you MORE than just a story.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Does anything he say jump out at you as significant?

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Could the poem be a riddle, with the answer to where the ships came from as part of the story?

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What if we rewrite it as:
Twenty ship armada
Forty-two days sailing north
Two nights of horrific storms
Eight ships make it to port safely
Forty days the ignorant thought their
Western gold uncaught.

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What if we rewrite it as:
20 ship armada
42 days sailing North
2 nights of horrific storms
8 ships make it to port safely
40 days the ignorant thought their
Western gold uncaught.

Hint #7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Enter 2042N2840W in "NEXT DESTINATION" window.

Tropic of Cancer
What do I do here?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do you remember what the narrator said? Here's a quick recap:
Blue above, blue beneath
Tame the beat thou cease to breathe
Cradle of crabs, craving to grab
The fragile fragments
Piece by piece we tame the seas

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
How about we focus a bit?
Blue above, blue beneath
Tame the beat thou cease to breathe
Cradle of crabs, craving to grab
The fragile fragments
Piece by piece
we tame the seas

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wander around the area and collect the blue pottery shards.

How many shards are there?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are nine shards.

WHERE ARE THESE BLOODY SHARDS?!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Calm down.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Okay, if you explored around, you might realize that there are only a finite number of places you can go.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You are in a box.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A 4x3 box. I suggest you start in a corner (you know you are in a corner when you can only move two directions) and move in a serpentine fashion (e.g. right until you cannot go right, down one row, and go back left ... lather, rinse, repeat).

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Still no luck? Okay, picture the box as follows (you start at E):
A B C
D E F
G H I
J K L

B - off center, to the right
C - more or less dead center
D - just below the tip of the rock on the right side
E - slightly off center, to the right (it's on top of a lightly colored rock)
F - slightly off center, to the left
H - near the top left corner
I - tricksy one; place your mouse at the space between "NEXT DESTINATION" and "HINT" and move a third of the way down.
K - slightly off center, to the left
L - slightly off center, above

ARGH! I'm one shard short!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You probably are missing a certain shard.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Go to the bottom-right corner of the box, and go up one square.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Place your mouse at the space between "NEXT DESTINATION" and "HINT" and move a third of the way down.

Wait a minute! I'm on dry land, but the "BACK" button is gone!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Congratulations, you found all of the shards.

What do I do with the shards?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do you like jigsaw puzzles? I like jigsaw puzzles.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Put the pieces together to form a plate.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Your next coordinates are around the edge of the plate. Isn't that a nice plate?

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When the plate is properly put back together, the coordinates read 1555S0542W. Enter them as the "NEXT DESTINATION."

If you got here, then you made it to the first checkpoint! Well done!

Also from e_nygma

Continuing onwards in our vain attempt to find a buried SUV, we continue our hunt on ...

St. Helena
Huh? Key word?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Another riddle for you to solve using the Solution card on the map.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If your map page is not open, click on "THE HUNT" link at the top left of the page. Don't worry, it will open a new window. Unfortunately, it will start by showing the intro movie again, so skip that.

"The key ring round the biggest rock; Point west and catch the port we dock?" What does that mean?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Perhaps the key at the bottom of the map would be useful?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Pick the key up and play with it for a bit. It has a key part and a ring part. Funny, that.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Know any good rocks?

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
See any good rocks?

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What about Costa's Rock?

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So what if we ring round Costa's Rock and point west?

Hint #7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Put your arm down (seems we have a joker here). Try point the key's tines west. Anything jump out at you (figuratively speaking)?

Hint #8
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The key should highlight "Count"

Hint #9
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Enter "Count" as the clue for St. Helena.

Now what? All I see is ocean?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wander around.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Remember the narrator saying "Climb the stairs and guide your faith" and "Climb to heaven, afraid to drown?"

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Sounds like we're climbing.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Move your mouse to the side of the screen until you turn around and see a ladder. Click on it.

What do I do with the ladder?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Climb it?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
To climb the ladder click and drag the window up or down depending on the direction you want to go. If you have a scroll button on your mouse, that works too. I would recommend the latter option as the click & drag movement can be irritating if you drag outside of the view (you'll understand when it happens).

What do I do with the numbers on the ladder?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well the first rung says "-> 35." What does that mean?

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Start climbing. Note the next few rungs you see with numbers.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The seventh rung reads "7-7," the eighth rung reads "8-90," but the ninth rung reads "S-16." (NOTE: Some people say that these numbers change, but I have not encountered that)

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Seems sort of odd that the first rung doesn't really match any of the other rungs with numbers or letters, right?

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Maybe that first rung is a start point?

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Try climbing to the 35th rung. What do you find?

Hint #7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The first character before the dash represents the entry in the coordinates. The number after the dash represents the next rung to go to.

So, what's the coordinates off of St. Helena?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
No.1-64,7-16

No? What do you mean "No?"
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I mean "No, I'm not telling you."0-96,6-11

What kind of hints are these?!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The ones that encourage character building, poor eyesight and screaming at your monitor when you realize you lost your count for the umpteenth time.S-15,4-72

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hey, *I* spent a few hours going through all the puzzles and making these hints. Spend a few minutes counting!9-58,4-8

Please? Pretty please? With sugar on top?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Not even with a cherry.8-90,E-0

Thanks!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
*mutters something ugly*

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You're only cheating yourself!

Ile Sainte Marie (Isle the Saint Mary)
NOTE: The butchering of French is theirs, not mine.

Okay, I'm now in a jungle. What next?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Pay attention to the narrator.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Circling this infested forest forever
As the density grows, your destiny glows
In the dark, on the bark
A silent tree speaks viciously"

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
First thing to take from the reading: the jungle circles back on itself in a loop (there are only 3 screens here).

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Second thing: Keep an eye out for weird bark.

Hey, this tree has weird stuff on it!
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Yes it does.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is not alone in having weird stuff on it.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In total, there are eleven trees with weird stuff on it.

I realize this has to be the next coordinate set. However, I have more trees than spaces needed. What gives?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
They got a bit tricksy here.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think on the maximum and minimum values for latitude.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Latitudes go from 0-90 N or S.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think on the maximum and minimum values for longitude.

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Longitudes go from 0-180 E or W.

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This means that this code will be ####A#####B (where # is a digit, A is either N or S, and B is E or W ... not the fact that the longitude has five digits (kind of tells you what the first digit after A is)).

Where are all the trees? I think I'm missing one/two/all of them.
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You might need to turn the contrast up on your monitor to see them all. Also, blocking or turning off any light source that is backlighting your monitor might help. Finally, if need be, look at your monitor from a sharp angle (i.e. stand up and look down at your monitor, not directly at it).

Give it a shot on your own before going on. If you still cannot find a given tree, look at the hints listed below (they'll give (hopefully) good directions to find the trees).

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
First screen:
- First there is a tree with a '0' on it that is more or less in the center of the view.
- Directly to the right of the '0' tree is a tree in the foreground and it has an 'E' at its base.
- Move all the way to the right until the view won't move anymore. The only large tree in the window is near the left side of your viewing angle and has a 'N' a third of the way up the tree.

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Second screen:
- Look for a really wide tree with bark that ripples. Just above the ground plants is a '1'
- Directly to the '1' tree's left is a much thinner tree in the foreground and it has a '7' near its base (again, just above the ground plants).
- If you move to the right of the wide tree, you'll see two trees somewhat covered with other plants in the foreground. The right tree of this pair has a '0' on it (the '0' tree is about a 1/3 from the right of your view as soon as the wide tree leaves your view).
- If you move all the way to the right until the view won't move anymore, you'll see a somewhat large (but not as large as the '1' tree) tree on the left side of the view; this tree is marked with a '4.'

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Third screen:
- Move the view all the way to the right. There is a tree half cut off on the left side of the view. If you look at the base of that tree, you'll see it has a '1' on it.
- Directly to the left of the '1' tree is another tree in the foreground and it too has a digit at its base (a '2').
- Move your mouse so the cursor rests on the '2' tree. In the background, there is a larger tree aproximately a quarter of the way from the left of the view. That tree has a '3' near its base.
- If you move left until the '3' is just out of sight, there should be a large tree in the foreground (if you all you see is a bunch of small ground plants, move your cursor up some). This is another '1' tree.

What is with the funky symbols on the trees with the numbers & letters?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Useful information. You would be wise to keep track of them.

Okay, I have the numbers and letters that represent the coordinates, but they don't make any sense.
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
That's because they are jumbled.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You have to put them in order.

So how do I order the characters to get the coordinates?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you were looking at the jungle, you should notice something different about these trees along with the numbers.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You HAVE been wandering the jungle and not just cherry-picking answers off this guide, right?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Each tree has two symbols on it in addition to a number or letter.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Haven't you done something like this before?

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The ladder on St. Helena gave you the coordinate and where to go next at each step. Same thing here.

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The catch is that instead of having the next location numbered, each location is symbolized.

So HOW do I order the symbols?
Hint #1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, you should know one character's position beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Hint #2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Since these are coordinates, what is the last character entered?

Hint #3
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The last character entered is the east/west designation for the longitude.

Hint #4
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Therefore the 'E' tree must be last.

Hint #5
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Perhaps you should try to create another complete circle with one of the symbols on this tree?

Hint #6
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, one of the symbols is already a complete circle ...

Hint #7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Is there any symbol out there that looks like it could fill a hollow circle?

Hint #8
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What about the '7' tree on the second screen?

Hint #9
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The top symbol represents where the previous coordinate character connects to. The bottom symbol represents where the next coordinate character connects to. A complete circle represents either the beginning or end.

Okay, after this I will begin explicitly telling you the solution to this puzzle. Try it out on your own and if you still cannot do it, take a look at the later hints.

Hint #10
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'0' tree from first screen has a complete circle as its previous (START) and half circle with the arc pointing W (next coordinate)
'1' tree from second screen has a half circle pointing E as its previous and a half circle pointing SW as its next

Hint #11
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'1' tree from third screen (rightmost tree) has a half circle pointing NE as its previous and a half circle pointing S as its next
'2' tree from third screen has a half circle pointing N as its previous and a crescent with the mouth pointing E as its next

Hint #12
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'N' tree from first screen has a vertical oval as its previous (trust me when I say that this oval fills the crescent's mouth) and a quarter circle pointing NE
'1' tree from third screen (leftmost tree) has a three-quarter circle open to the NE as its previous and a downward crescent as its next

Hint #13
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'0' tree from second screen has a horizonal oval (again, trust me) as its previous and a half circle pointing SE as its next
'3' tree from third screen has a half circle pointing NW as its previous and a quarter circle pointing NW as its next

Hint #14
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'4' tree from second screen has a three quarter circle open to the NW as its previous a quarter circle pointing SE as its next
'7' tree from second screen has a three quarter circle open to the SE as its previous and a small circle as its next
'E' tree from first screen has a hollow circle as its previous (one more "trust me" when I say the small circle fills the gap) and a complete circle as its next (END).

Hint #15
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You can now leave this wretched island.

Hint #16
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You ARE cherry-picking my guide! Bad player, no biscuit!

We have now reached the second checkpoint! Check out your email on June 21st for the next clue to open the next stop.
