It's not a cock-up, it's an e-mail to help you with the stars puzzle.

The next card solution is 3=4lines.

You arrive at that answer by this:
With first of eight fixed firmly on three - Put the first eye (top left) on the 3. Turn all eyes 'till all sights see - And then rotate card until you see a character in each eye.
Write down the character in a left to right order from top to bottom.
answer: 3=4lines

But if I enter lines or line or 4lines or four it's wrong...
Are we supposed to enter the clue on the soultion card?

Diomede Island... Hi makkystyle
Me and my bro have been working on the hunt for the last 2 days & we arrived at Diomede Island this afternoon and have been there the rest of the day. To say these puzzles are hard is a understatement but a lot of fun too. Anyway back to the hunt.....
We couldnt draw the stars quick enough to make any sense of them, but then i found your picture on this site and my bro saw the coordinates as soon as he saw your picture, which is very good by the way. did you take a number of pictues and stick them together ????
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So the coordinates are right in front of you !
Let me know if you get off the Island
Do you know how to work out the hint for this Island ?? I know i dont need it now im off the Island but i would still like to know where the card fits on the map.
p.s.... you have 2 days before you can move on......

Email hint for eyes card & stars Once you enter the answer
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3=4lines
on the solution card, you get the "Right" notice and your online map is updated with the dotted line going all the way from Hanging Bats over to Deep Hole.
The crowds are thinning out!

Hey! I have completed Diomede and am waiting for the 26th to enter Isla Mas A Tierras. Does any one see how this helps with Diomede? I don't!

It takes four straight lines to make a "3". This just gets you into the mindset of looking for numbers and letters in the connections.

Diomede Star Feild Above the 4 and 9w you can connect the stars into a sort of lasso which encircles 3 stars. This does not happen anywhere else! The only other thing is on the lower left I can make a Z but it still has the bottom left star still active and I have yet to find a place to attach it to.
Do you think that the 3 stars that are encircled are there as an extra number? I have found no other extra clues. Has anyone else found anything?

Your "Lasso" is a constellation called Auriga, the "Z" is part of Monoceros. The bottom Z star is still active because there's another star in the constellation it attaches to that is off the screen. I create planetarium shows for a living, and I can assure you that the Diomede sky contains actual contellations, the coordinates for advancing, and nothing more.
