That is the hypotheis im going with for the moment. Unless a fragment is released which clearly shows Mittlewerk telling whoever he is in the room with to watch a short orientation film, I dont see a reason not to have those in the primary positions.


Looking back I suggested the same and unless someone strongly disagrees I'll keep it there for now.


I won't say that I *strongly* disagree, but I am troubled by the abrupt change from the "Dharma Initiative" introduction screen (OHGE) to the slow turn of the bearded man (4KVKLAYDM0) - the music seems to cut off too fast. Perhaps there is a linking shot? Intro screen (OHGE), then the music ends while the bearded man stands still at the window, only to turn around during the next clip (4KVKLAYDM0)?

I would also like to suggest that after 4KVKLAYDM0, there is one clip that reveals his name, only to be followed by GMX18BCJ. The way in which he is pictured (i.e. near full figure, at the globe) implies that he has not moved since telling us his name.

As the film progresses, I assume that they rely more and more on close-up shots of his face. I suggest that the clip 7HKBH must come towards the beginning (obviously, given that it mentions "as with all you have already been told, you are bound by your honor and commitment to keep what you are about to hear a secret").

More importantly, though, I speculate that it marks the beginning of the close-ups (and in the first second of 7HKBH, the end of his appearance near the globe).

I think I know two which are together...

I believe that the talk about "trust" will proberly be before the orientation film - because lock talked about trust after showing jack the film - I believe that the people who were meant to view the film normally are told about trust to make them believe the film more...

but this is just vauge speculation...

 		I suggest that xigz2y10s2 and m6xy398 are in sequence. Not sure where in the larger clip these two belong, but I think that they go together, given the same white and gray frame that they both share (last second in xigz2y10s2, and first second in m6xy398). Not only that, but both of them concern the Cold War, with the second clip leading into the chronological introduction of the Dharma Initiative.

It is possible that there is one clip between the two, but I doubt it.

More likely that he is going to introduce the Valenzetti Equation. The equation is what the UN had commissioned. As far as I can tell, we still don't know how DHARMA fits into all this. The clips about DHARMA and THF probably come after the missile crisis/UN clips. We know that the equation was commissioned after the Cuban missile crisis, so that puts it somewhere in the mid-1960's. DHARMA didn't begin until 1970, according to Dr. Candle.

xig2y10s2 and m6xy398 are in sequence, followed by 88ch. I'm pretty sure there is still something missing between the last two, and possibly the first two as well.

xigz2y10s2 ("In 1962..."), followed by
m6xy398 ("After the Cuban Missle Crisis..."), then
88ch ("Commissioned under the highest secrecy through the UN security council...").

Anyone else finding that sometimes, the videos don't play when you go into "View?" I'm trying to see these three together, and they don't show up in the screen.

ADDED:

I'm also willing to bet that RRGYXS comes after the clip showing the DHARMA acronym, since there is a reference to "the One, True Way."

But I definitely agree that 3zgt comes before 1ey8azczna2.

What it ACTUALLY sounds like is "the degroots, d few high ranking members of my organization." But taking into account that the sound quality is odd and many of the words are chopped off (like the word "known" for example, which is more like "nun"), and his accent, and then using the inflection of his voice, which sounds like he's making a list of three groups within a full and complete sentence, I stand by my interpretation.

Plus, and this goes into SPEC, if he IS Hanso himself, then the Degroots aren't themselves "a few high ranking members" of his organization, so why would he call them that? They are two specific people, not a few, and they don't work for the Hanso Foundation in a high-ranking capacity. They run their program, or ran it, anyway, in relative isolation.

Anwyay, I can say more about this but it goes into general SPEC so I'll find a more appropriate place to post it.

FWIW I agree with this. If you look closely at the end of the "The precise location is known only to myself" clip (3zgt), the film image transitions from a mountains shot to the same jungle shot seen in the "Degroots" clip. This, combined with the audio, leads me to believe that these clips follow one to the other.

My own idea on this is that he mentions the Degroots seperately because they've already been identified by name earlier in the orientation film. In the film clip "gmx18bcj", he says "If you're watching this film, you already know and have worked with Gerald and Karen Degroot." So, it would make sense single out the Degroots' knowledge of the location of the secret facility as opposed to "a few high-ranking members" of the organization who would not be familiar to the film's viewers.

Otherwise if it is new stuff keep them coming. Don't be afraid of trying to throw out numbers with the clips. So if you think it goes torwards the start than throw out an 11 or something.

As you can see the shot from the second at the very beginning millisecond of the third.

Except their may be a video between 3zgt and 1ey8azczna2, because I dont think it flows on well.
