I'd be a lot "hamstering" happier. And I think that's quite important.

I don't really see any heated debate just inconsequential argument. Whether you call it "Wave 5" or "Season 2 Wave 1" there are still going to be folks who call it the other. It's not going to make a difference. It's just going to introduce ambiguity. Super woot for that, eh?
Sense of humour, table 5.

If we keep increasing the waves, will we end up with a tsunami?

Considering hundreds just died from another Tsunami, do you think that comment's appropriate?

It is as appropriate as you like. Tsunami have existed since the dawn of the seas, billions of years ago. The political correctness that abounds nowadays, where the mention of certain perfectly normal words is overnight deemed unacceptable due to potential offence, is pathetic in the extreme.
Much more offensive to me is the deliberate killing of innocents in faraway lands, done in my name by a government I did not vote for. Thus a throwaway one-liner about a large wave is not in the slightest bit offensive.
I for one will continue to use the English language to its fullest extent.
To paraphrase Juxta, a sense of humour at Table 5!
(I'm aware this is off-topic, but I dont care, I'm p*ssed off now)

'Season 2, wave 1' cards will from now on be called 'wave 5'
The additional two words, which include a pause, tot up to an extra three syllables which seems like a complete waste of everybody's time.
Something like '2.1' would be much easier, shurely?

I like this. It keeps the season in there, and it's easy to read.

Hmm see i dont think that would work either, as it implieas a kind of decimal based system and that one wave is worth 1/10 of a season

This is an utterly ridiculous argument. Surely it's clear that the system should be season numbers in letters, and wave numbers in binary. Hence: Season 1 Wave 4 -> A 100
Season 39 wave 3 -> AM 11
Now let's stop fannying about and adopt my uber-super method.

I liks decimals; short, sweet, easy.
I'm using that. 1.4 now, 2.1 in the future.

Maybe we could follow (Shakespearean) play conventions, which has the act in roman numerals, then the scene in normal figures? So I.4, II.1 etc?

Actually Hm well. First gotta say word on the Tsunami references. It's not politically correct to worry about being politically correct. Anyhow...
I like the 2.1 or II.1 thing. I don't know how they plan on continuing card numbering or how the game is going to continue season to season, but maybe even go ahead and notate individual cards in a similar fashion (i.e. I.3-253, etc.).
How would wave 0.5 be notated? I.0.5? Or would it be like i.blah or .5.blah something. I don't think it was technically part of season 1 (though all of the cards were reproduced for I.1 - see I'm already using it). Also, how about the promo cards? Are they printed as part of a season or wave - sorry I didn't take the time to check? Or should they be their own group say like P.01 for the ComicCon promo that recently began circulating.
Thoughts? Corrections? Flames?
