I watched part of a televised national town hall on PBS yesterday and made note that lots of people had very valid observations about what isn't working in this country. Still, no one seemed to offer anything tangible as solutions, especially the three members of Congress on the panel.

I'd like to read people's ideas on how to effect real change. Try listing three things you'd like to see changed that would move the United States in a more positive direction.

1. Overhaul the laws governing lobbying at the Federal level to include severe penalties for all parties (Congress and lobbyists) for violations.

2. Prevent Congress from attaching non-financial amendments to budgetary and funding bills.

3. Remove all newscasts and news channels from the Nielsen process. Allow the news to be dictated by good journalism instead of the 'if it bleeds, it leads' mentality.
