Oh crap. Ok, I suck. I wanted to get the cards out so that people would have as much of a chance as the rest of us who got the cards. I'm hoping it's less of a problem since the cards aren't really solveable right now (the site blocks you out.) I've posted the rest of the reds and an Orange so far. If the moderators don't want them up I'll be happy to take them back down and do many mea-culpas to people.
Advice, what do people think?

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=261284#261284 <- i've replied with my views in the other thread, but seriously i see no reason why you should take em down, or that other people shouldn't scan them in and post.

I'm personally just avoiding the card forums to prevent seeing it on monday, but I just thought I'd post this as I seem to remember last time so people were quite annoyed, althought last time they were solvable the day before and the people posting them were retailers getting them early, not actual players getting them early from firebox.

Ordered 16 packs yesterday, got them this morning and got two silvers! So a nice weekend of solving followed by a Monday night of typing incorrect answers
Oh I dont suppose anybody looked to see if the packs with a silver in were marked in a similar way to indentify "premium" packs as done in previous waves and discussed in another thread? I couldnt see any holes, dots etc that werent also on non-silver packs.

Interesting, could you possibly point a link to the previous thread in which this has been discussed? I'm trying search but no good so far. Mucho interesting.

I don't think that the previous thread (thereverendeg: it was in the Unfiction forums briefly in one of the eBay threads and was more exhaustively discussed at the PXC forums) implied that the "premium" packs were different than the ones containing just the low-value cards. It implied that someone was taking advantage of a flaw in packaging or manufacturing. For instance, using the hole to look into the foil packs at the topmost card or buying a case and knowing that the n
th
pack contains premium cards, etc.
If there was a way to identify a pack containing a silver card from a non-silver card, it would sort of kill that whole random-chance thing. (And it would make retailers unhappy because people will come in and specifically buy the premium packs and they'll be left with a bunch of unsold lesser packs that they can't get rid of.)

I was exceedingly pleased to see that my 8 Firebox packs were packed totaly differently to every other pack I'd had before - every single one had the red on the face up side and the orange on the bottom (or vice versa), so it's impossible to tell what's in the middle in Pure Wave 4 packs - having been bitten by the no-rares cheap eBay packs thing before I realised or read what some people were doing. (At the time, coming back into it late, I'd assumed they'd bought a box or several wholesale and had lots more packs than they needed.)
8 packs, 3 blacks, 1 silver, 10 duplicates!

That was what I thought Bri, when this was first discussed. ( I believe it was the PXC forums) And to be honest I couldn't see the point of MC spending the extra time and money to mark the packets for something like that with the e-Bay sellers to take advantage of. By the looks of it though the new wave 4 packets are all marked in similar ways so there is no way to tell and should stop any rumours.

good Good. It would be a bit disturbing to know that packs containing silver cards were marked any differently from other packs.

Ughh living in the US sucks, I preordered the packs the first day i could, and not even out of the warehouse! I hope I get more silvers than 1 or 2 with 8 packs! Wave 1-3 packs i got 2 silvers with 5! BTW, that sucks so badly anasi, no silvers! I'm wondering how many duplicates you have? I guess you guys in England are waiting for the solve page to come on! Good luck!
