Can someone shoot me please? Now that I "believe" I know the answer, and have cross-referenced with what everyone has said...and even got my math friend involved (Thanks Fidel!!)....I'm locked out again.
(Tried my theory this morning and no luck.) Once again, locked for another 11 hours.
BUT I know it now...I must know it...oh please, let me know it.

This sign is on my back

That french reference above....That Better NOT be True!

I've tried a variety of mathematicians, french mathematicians, people menitoned in articles about resistance, people connected with something using their name and 's. I haven't got anywhere following up guessing, though that seems a big clue. I could do with another hint please.

I know the feeling - every time I think of someone their name turns up in the tried-and-failed list!

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with guessing and the numbers, but nothing seems to fit both.

To save some more false guesses, it isn't:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Rene, Blaise nor Christiaan - I was sure it was Huygens (he ticked both the resistance (through media) and guessing (probability) boxes!

Liked the hint obrienk, thanks.
Even though I guessed wrong with my last try, and am now locked out, it makes things manageable. Must admit to still not seeing how all the numbers fit into the answer, and doubt it will all become clear when I guess right.

Thanks for all the good hints! I was finally able to gravitate towards the right answer and get my first top 10 solve.

Locked out again Rolling Eyes

I'm plodding on through my list of suspects. Could one of the solvers confirm whether there is something on the card that pins this to a specific person or is this a refined guessing game?

For the record it's not

UGH! Number 11

I scared the crap out of my husband, cuz I screamed that i got it, then started stomping up and down when I saw my position. He came running upstairs all paled faced, compared to my RED face.

Anyway, congrats top 10 solves Smile Wish my card would have unlocked 90 mins earlier.
