Just for kicks i put in that mispelling into Google, Just to see.

And low and behold. Many pics of the same town came up.
This is either a common misspelling or the spelling is ambiguous.

Either way include this in your searches. It may turn up better, or at least more results in reference of this location on our little planet.

Just emailed Mind Candy about the architect and got this response:

"Hi Brendan,

Thanks for your query. Due to the mysterious and Earthy nature of this
card, we don't currently feel comfortable revealing the identity of the
puzzle scribe. All may become clear once you've tracked Satoshi down,
who can say?

Best regards,

Guy @ Perplex City Customer Services"

So... Um...

Yea. Chew on that as best you can - I'm a novice at all this, so possible plot implications I'll leave to the theory freaks.

(thank you)

It occurs to me to ask, why did they mention being impressed -- almost surprised? -- that the location was pinpointed "too". Wasn't that part of the solution path? Did they expect Satoshi would be found without that bit of information? Was Kaysersberg merely an easter egg?

I just wondered what they meant by Earthy? If it was related to earth, as in, Satoshi lives on earth shouldn't it say EARTHLY?

Maybe earthy means Satoshi is deceased and underground, maybe they have attached something onto his grave? Who knows ????

Just a thought

Holy Guacamole!

Graverobbing Twisted Evil is against the law, you know.

Si, did you do the bold and capitalising and underlining, or was it like that in the email?

No I did it like that, it just seemed a strange comment and out of context except if it was a clue.

I didn't mean to imply grave robbing, the email just said if you can find him all will be revealed, maybe there is something written somewhere on the gravestone.

I know its a long shot and I really hope Satoshi is alive but I guess all possibilities need to be considered. I think it would be in bad taste to ask us to search for someone who has died, but who knows ??

I hope he gets discovered soon, I just thought though, what if someone does know where he is from all the progress thats been made and the six degrees of separation approach, but they won't tell anyone until MC decide that the time is right??

I forgot to mention, the other thing about this card and the main difference between this and all of the other cards is that this is the only card that is controllable, i.e. we cannot solve this until MC want us to, Satoshi can remain anonymous until such a time he needs to be found for the purposes of the game, then and only then will we find him.

He may be sitting here, watching this and laughing because he could be so close we can reach him . . . but not until the time is right !

I think the fact that Guy says about Satoshi

sort of rules out him being dead.

I also think Catherwood made an important point above

ixalon wrote:

this certainly seems to imply that Kaysersberg isn't important to the solution.

Just a quick thought, as Sophiecat pointed out, the place in the picture (Kaysersberg) appears to be irrelevant to the puzzle which made me think of something, if it is not a clue, surely Satoshi did not go there JUST to be photographed for the purposes of this game, this means the picture could have been taken at any time during the Autumn/Winter of any year.

Why go to such an obscure place to be photographed if it was a clue, surely if the place was a clue it would be somewhere nearer to where Satoshi actually is? I think this is important as MC did not think the place would be identified and therefore not going to help us find him.

Of course this is all speculation, but as we have no idea when the picture was taken as the surroundings have probably not changed for many years, this picture could be anything up to 5 or 10 years old.

There is no reason to assume that Satoshi was there for anything other than a holiday, although he may well have been, and the picture may have just been picked at random. If the picture is a few years old, it may be difficult to find Satoshi by looking at random pictures on the internet, he will no doubt have changed, as neither his appearance or clothes hint at the age of the picture.

I know this is not very helpful, but how are we supposed to find someone when we don't know how old he is, what his full name is, what he looks like now or where in the world he could be?

Sad Feels frustrated
