[EMAIL] Bruce - July 31 - Still looking for info

Here's a letter I got from Bruce (finally):

Quote:
Sandra,

First off, thanks for your concern. I really appreciate both your compassion (and empathy) for my addiction struggles. Also, I?m moved by your feelings for both Dale and Meaghan and I hope that your son is happy and healthy.

As for the disconcerting events in Aglaura, I understand the subtext of your email. The suggestion that my employer could have something to do with the razing of the library is something that?s occurred to me. All, I can say is, I certainly hope that isn?t the case. I believe there?s something not quite ?right? in these offices, but I?m not convinced (yet) that their (actually, our) methods are that devious. If it is the case, though, I promise you, I will find out.

I do agree with you about Dale. It doesn?t make a lot of sense, does it? I?d like to reach out to him. I feel for him every day, but I have to say, I fear such a gesture would compromise my relationship with Diana and, if I kept it secret, I might not be able to survive the guilt associated with deceiving her. For my own health and struggles, I need to keep my acts of deception to a minimum. As you can see, it?s a bit of a quagmire.

Still, I promise you I?ll mention it to Diana and let you know how it goes,
either in my blog or via email.

Thanks again.

Bruce

Here's the letter I sent him on July 21:

Quote:
I'm trying this email to see if it works. I prefer not to use the Marzent
address as this is of a somewhat personal nature and I'm not sure
about the privacy policy the company might have for email.

I'm sure I'm not the first person that you have heard from who has
found your blog and written you. I have to commend you on your
seeing that alcohol is not the answer to anyone's problem. This
is a personal issue to me - but no need to go into all of that now.
Just wanted to tell you that I admire people with your will power
and recognizing that you can't do it alone.

The main reason I'm writing is my concern for Dale. I've followed
the ups and downs of the relationship you two have had. (Isn't it
amazing how we can find the real life situations of people's lives
so much more interesting than soap operas. Blogs haven't become
the hottest things on the net because we aren't drawn into them.)

I've had a few emails back and forth with Dale. I'm concerned for him
and the situation he finds himself in now. I'm sure you've heard the
rumors that are spreading through your town. I can't figure out how
anyone could think that Dale would have done what he did.

When it comes to figuring out who might have wanted the library
destroyed the old saying comes to mind - "Follow the money."
Who in Aglaura would have the most benefit if the library were
destroyed? Why would Dale destroy something he fought so hard
to preserve? Who was the one who wanted to destroy the library?
Can you see now why I didn't want to write through your other email
account?

I'm also deeply concerned with what this is doing to Meaghan. I
know from experience (my son's experience actually) what a child
of that age goes through when there's a divorce. It is clear from your
blog that this is also bothering you greatly.

Another person deeply effected is Sarah. I'm sure you've read her
blog and see how despondent she is. Even Sam is being effected
by all of this.

Would you consider trying to get ahold of Dale? You could use your
mutual concern over Meg as the reason.

I hope this email gets to you and that you realize that this "advice" is
given out of concern for people that I have come to like - and thus be
concerned with.

Hope to hear from you.

Sandra Jones

In my reply I'll offer to be a go-between for Dale and Bruce. Seems we had to do that before. <g>
