I think this pretty much tells us that Iris is responsible for the Index file of letters. Sam may know about it though. She does say she checks to make sure Iris hasn't messed anything up too much. Maybe this is Sam's revenge.

Either way I still think we need to tell Sam about it and everything else we know.

I suppose the thing to do is look at the pros and cons of telling Sam about this.

We have the info and it's archived in a few places. If we tell Sam about it is there a possibility she could get her hands on the journal? Maybe Phyllis hasn't found it and Sam could help Sarah with moving some books and do a bit of snooping around.

Can you think of any downside to it? Other than reading people's private correspondence. lol But why would Iris put all this stuff up on the net? It's not really something that you would accidently do - in the real world.

Maybe it's just that I've been doing websites for over ten years and it's hard for me to understand how someone could accidently upload files. But, I see your point that Iris may have thought she was putting the files in a safe place on the server. She just didn't know that directories need to be protected somehow.

The reason I suggested Sam is that she is the webmaster for the site. After reading about Dale's new contacts I don't know that he would have time to look after Sarah. I've written to him numerous times - as I'm sure others have - trying to get him to contact Sarah about the similarities of their dreams and other things - and he just won't do it.
