I'm sure this has been mentioned before a few times, but why, on perplexcity.com and on perplexcitycardcatalog.com is the card called Card House, and not Houses?

ok, just want to add, I have just done this card on my AutoCAD program and made it
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
57cm
, I think there should be various answers to this card as I cannot see why my answer is wrong.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
/\ (2)
_ _ (2)
/\ /\ /\ (6)
_ _ _ (3)
/\ /\ /\ /\ (8 )
_ _ _ _ _ (5)
/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ (12)

This adds up to 38 cards in total. My method was to keep the system of horizontal cards consistant...

This is not incorrect yet is not accepted.

Because that's not a traditional card house. The way most people make them is with 1 peak in the top row, 2 in the next row, 3 in the next, and so on, not skipping irregularly like that.

thats what I thought, but then again I have never come across anyone who place irregular numbers of cards horizontally either... I think they should have made sure they got a decent number of cards to work with, rather than jump around like they did.

for the correct answer that was accepted.. I think the the card should have read "what is the tallest tower I can build", instead of "how tall is my tower."

Okay, I'm stymied...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From the photo, we have this information.
Level 1 is 2 cards, 1 pyramid.
The base below that has 2 cards (even though only 1 is necessary).
Level 2 below that has at least 3 pyramids, 6 cards.

So there's 10 cards. 28 to go. (Cards used: Min 10 / Max 10)

My problem is getting 38 cards. The confirmed solve above says the tower has to be 5 levels high, but I just can't get it out this far following any logical progression.

Let's say Level 2 has 3 pyramids. The next base could also only have 2 cards and still be wider than the bases of Level 2, but this isn't a progression (house), this would be a tower/house. So, logically we should put 3 cards there or, if we want to continue the 1-extra pattern from the base of Level 1, we'd put 4. On top of that, Level 2 could have 4 pyramids, requiring a minimum base of 2 cards. (Cards used: Min 13 / Max 16)

Under a 3 card base, we can fit up to 6 pyramids but need at least 4. Under a 4 card base, we could fit 7 pyramids, but would only require 5. (Cards used: Min 21 / Max 30)

To catch up, that minimum of 21 is based on the following:
Level 1 - 2 cards
Base - 2 cards
Level 2 - 6 cards
Base - 3 cards
Level 3 - 8 cards

So we have 4 pyramids in Level 3, covered by a 4 card minimum base. (Min 25) Below that, we have at least 5 pyramids (Min 35).

That's Level 4! That leaves 3 cards to make a base for Level 4, and put the foundation pyramids on Level 5!

How is the confirmed solve possible?

Also, interesting to note, all of the cards shown seem to have the "welcome" backs regardless of their color. (Cube Tube, being green, and Forever Foe, being yellow, should have map sections on the back, but don't.)
