Here is a scan of the card, I've not had a chance to look at it yet; so no thoughts at present.

Just the title would seem too simple a solution for a black card.

Something I've noticed. There are no dotted letters in all of the present words. All the lowercase Is and Js are in the blanked out words, and a majority of the blanked out words contain the letter I.

I edited my post above to show all the lines - I skipped the one with 11 possibilities. Possibly we need to construct a sentence out of the words? From first letters? Any relevance to the words that were cut off? Maybe THOSE letters (I supplied the rest of the cut off words in brackets) mean something? Anything happen if we rearrange the lines in the order they actually appear in the story? (Because yes, I have to go to work...)

Sorry everyone, I hadn't realised that I was still the only solver. I've had a few people asking for hints so I'll post them here rather than sending out multiple PMs.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hint #1 So far everyone on this forum has been concentrating on the words. They are important but they're not the only things on the card. The background may well provide a clue to what you have to do.

If that doesn't get anyone anywhere then I'll post a bigger clue tomorrow.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Punctuation

That wasn't "asking for hints". That was "begging for an answer". But OK.

Even though the dots are gray, I keep seeing colors...
